Netflix remains one of the biggest streaming services in the world today, both with original titles as well as movies and TV shows licensed to stream on the service. One of the biggest new returns in April 2025 is the seventh season of Black Mirror, with six new episodes. These episodes include stars like Paul Giamatti, Will Poulter, Awkwafina, and more. April also sees the return of You, with a final 10-episode season wrapping up the stories. Two new shows include Ransom Canyon (April 17) and Pulse (April 3).
In some surprising news, Netflix is making the first-ever live-action Scooby-Doo TV show by creators Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg. It will start with the gang meeting for the first time (via Tudum). There is also a new football series coming to Netflix, with a second season of Quarterback arriving in July, focusing on Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, and Kirk Cousins (via Tudum). Finally, Kevin Hart has signed on to the Netflix movie 72 Hours by Rise Along director Tim Story (via Netflix).
