Chaos erupted on Tuesday after transgender Congressman Tim “Sarah” McBride was introduced as “Mr. McBride.”
Delaware state senator Tim “Sarah” McBride, a biological male who has since ‘transitioned’ to a woman, became the first transgender elected to the U.S. House of Representatives after winning Delaware’s only House seat in November.
Shortly after McBride’s victory, Rep. Mace introduced a resolution to keep transgenders like McBride out of women’s restrooms at the US Capitol.
Speaker Johnson backed Mace and announced that transgender ‘women’ like “Sarah” McBride cannot use women’s restrooms in the Capitol and House office buildings
On Tuesday Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) referred to ‘Sarah’ McBride as “Mr. McBride and all hell broke loose.
Rep. McBride issued a snarky response, “Thank you, Madam Chair.”
Democrat Rep. Keating interrupted the hearing to scold Rep. Keith Self: “Mr. Chairman, could you repeat your introduction again please?”
“Yes, we have set the standard on the floor of the house and I’m simply –”
Keating interrupted Rep. Self: “What is that standard, Mr. Chairman?”
Rep. Self said dug in his heels and refused to back down to the unhinged Democrat’s demands.
Rep. Keating began shouting and pounding his fist on the desk: “Mr. Chairman, you are out of order! Mr. Chairman, have you no decency… this is not decent! You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected Representative the right way!”
Rep. Self had enough and adjourned the hearing. He wasn’t going to be forced to say words he doesn’t want to say.
“This hearing is adjourned!” he said as he gaveled out the session.
