I’m Convinced Molly Mullaney Is The Hero Of Love Is Blind Season 8 (She Was There For Certain Contestants)

Molly Mulaney didn’t get engaged on Netflix’s Love Is Blind season 8, but she’s still the hero of the season. Molly experienced some early drama on the dating show when she and Lauren O’Brien realized they were fighting for the same man. However, Molly has shown herself to be a person who sticks to her morals.

Love Is Blind’s Dave Bettenburg had a connection with Lauren and Molly in the pods. When push came to shove, he broke up with Molly and proposed to Lauren. Dave and Lauren’s relationship ultimately didn’t work out, and they broke up right before the Love Is Blind season 8 cast reunited with the Pod Squad for a night out. Although Molly could have tried to win back the newly single Dave, she stood up for Lauren instead.

Molly And Lauren’s Friendship Had A Rocky Start

They Almost Let A Man Come Between Them

It’s common on Love Is Blind for people to form connections with multiple people. During season 4, Zack Goytowski first proposed to Irina Solomonova, but when the relationship quickly imploded, he proposed instead to Bliss Poureetezadi. The two are now happily married and recently welcomed their first child together.

As Dave navigated his connections with Lauren and Molly, he inadvertently caused drama between the two.

During a date between Lauren and Dave, Molly told the rest of the pod squad that Dave told her he was ending things with Lauren, and Molly was confused as to why their date was going on for so long. This put a sour taste in Lauren’s mouth, as she still rightfully believed in her connection with Dave. Ultimately, Dave broke up with Molly, and she aired everything out with Lauren before Lauren’s proposal. Once the two were not fighting for the same man, they were able to embrace a friendship.

Molly Proved She’s A Girl’s Girl

She Stood Up For Her Friend

Love Is Blind’s Molly stood up for what’s right even though it was difficult. Not knowing Lauren and Dave had broken up, Molly informed Lauren she had been told Dave was at a bar the previous night with “a girl all over him.” She wanted Lauren to have a complete picture of who she was marrying, although Lauren quickly got Molly up to speed and explained the reasons for their break-up.

Molly could have used this new information to her advantage and tried to get back together with Dave, similar to Jackie Bonds and Josh Demas on Love Is Blind season 4. However, Molly did the opposite. She didn’t flirt or even make small talk with Dave. Instead, Molly grilled Dave for not standing up for Lauren to his family and pushing Lauren away despite his love for her. When Dave told Molly her solutions “weren’t that easy,” she called him out, showing where her priorities were.

“I don’t believe that. I think you’re making excuses … If you wanted it to happen, you’d make it happen.”

Love Is Blind season 8, episode 12, culminated in Sara Carton and Ben Mezzenga’s wedding. Molly and Lauren attended the wedding together to support their fellow Pod Squad member. Molly wouldn’t let a man come between her and a friend, even if they didn’t start on the greatest terms.

Love Is Blind season 8 streams on Netflix with new episodes every Friday until March 7.
