As the UK warms up, Brits are on the lookout for the perfect beach they can visit without having to leave the country. Accumulating over 290,000 views on TikTok, one video of a beach in Cornwall had sun-seekers dreaming of visiting the location. With 27,000 likes and thousands of shares, it seems this breathtaking clip has made the remote beach a must-visit this summer.
Nanjizal Bay Beach is now dubbed as “the best beach in the UK” and can be found in the remote hamlet of St Levan, Cornwall. Also known as Mill Bay, this beautiful beach has viewers desperate to pay a visit. The traveller, who posted the viral video, elaborated in the comments section that to get to the hidden gem, they trekked from Lands End, which took around one hour and 45 minutes. However, they advised that there are closer places you can walk from to reach the beach.
With this Cornish beach trending on social media, UK holiday provider Parkdean Resorts has revealed what else St Levan has to offer, including another top-rated beach.
There’s Porthcurno Beach, another must-see spot, especially if Nanjizal Bay beach is busy; surrounded by scenic white cliffs, you can sink your feet into the white sands and take a dip in the stunning sea.
This is a great location, ideal for families looking for a picnic spot to swim together, and it offers a car park along with toilet facilities. However, it’s important to note that dogs are not allowed on the beach from 10am onwards during its prime time, between July and August.
Another great addition to your summer bucket list in St Levan is Penberth Cove, perfect for nature lovers. This hiking trail is popular amongst tourists for its chance to soak up Cornwall’s beauty while getting in some exercise.
The circular walk from Porthcurno to Penberth Cove passes through wartime tunnels, fishing spots and beautiful coves. Totalling up to three miles, the walk is suitable for families and those looking for unmissable views of Cornwall’s coastline.
Those looking for a spot in St Levan to sit back and relax needn’t look further than Minack Theatre. This open-air amphitheatre is carved into Cornwall’s coastline and holds productions and performances from Easter right up until the end of October.
Enjoy thrilling performances set against a spectacular backdrop, or simply stop by for a visit to appreciate its views. The travel expert recommended booking in advance to see a show, especially during the busier spring and summer seasons.
The travel expert from Parkdean Resorts said: “Cornwall is home to many spectacular views and beaches, so it’s no surprise that it is trending on social media. Locations in Cornwall make for the perfect getaway, especially as the weather improves in the UK.”
