Southern Charm’s self-proclaimed “Southern gentleman” JT Thomas was his own worst enemy in Season 10. At the end of the Season 10 finale, an update on JT and his biggest defender, Venita Aspen, revealed that they began dating after filming concluded. But it didn’t last long, and ended with Venita unfollowing her former bestie on social media. They haven’t spoken since.

On the Southern Charm After Show, a producer asked the content creator if she’d been “in love” with JT.
“Yeah, to a degree,” she admitted. “There was a developmental moment of like, ‘Oh, I think I could actually love this person.’”
“And then he did me dirty,” she added. “And now it’s, ‘I’ll put your head on a f*cking stake.’”
Though JT was out of favor with everyone else in the cast nearly all season, Venita stood strong in her defense of him. But when he was a no-show for Madison LeCroy and Ryan Albert’s finale party, Venita began to question her loyalty to him.
When he seemed to be late to the party, Venita kept texting JT and sending him pics of her outfit. She kept asking him, “Are you gonna show up? I want you here.”
Even though he responded that she looked “so pretty” and wished he “was there,” JT kept his friend waiting. Meanwhile, even Austin Kroll and Craig Conover told Venita that they “were rooting” for her and JT, hoping he’d eventually show up.
Finally, Venita realized that JT just wasn’t coming. “I was just like, ‘I guess he’s just showing his true colors,” she admitted. “I was riding for the kid, and he just didn’t show up.”
They really seemed to be close, so it’s sad to see their relationship sputter out like this.

Though the finale explained that Venita and JT hadn’t spoken since they split, the two had to face each other at the Season 10 reunion. And JT did show up this time. It’s in his contract, so Bravo probably threatened to sue him if didn’t.
Filmed February 6, the teaser above suggests a faceoff between the former couple. When Venita and JT couldn’t agree on what actually went down, Venita stormed back to her dressing room to retrieve her phone. She came prepared with, “Receipts! Proof! Timeline! Screenshots! F*cking everything!”
Watching Venita stomp back to her dressing room, host Andy Cohen wryly observed, “I have a feeling it’s about to get worse.”
