Imrul Hassan is making waves during his first season on Summer House. When this reputed player rode in on his motorcycle, he explained why he was tardy to the party. To keep things PC, Imrul is all about a good time. But now, many fans are starting to wonder if sex is all there is to Imrul.
Imrul enjoys adult-centered parties. But he also candidly shared that he was dating more than one woman. This statement earned Imrul a side eye or two from his female costars. Hey, at least this man is being honest about his antics.
His frankness earned him an upgrade to a “burnt orange” shade of flag, which is slightly better than a red flag, joked Danielle Olivera. All jokes aside, Imrul brings a new energy to this house. He also has a fascinating, timely backstory that would likely resonate with many viewers. Yet, again, the bulk of his storylines center around sex, which, if he hopes to become a fan favorite instead of crashing and burning like another sex-crazed boy from seasons past, Imrul might wish to change courses.
Imrul Hassan opened up about his past on Summer House
On his first night in the Summer House, Imrul brought a girl back. This Casanova has since brought multiple women home, (clearly) enjoying his summer away from his real estate stressors in NYC. But later, Imrul opened up about his past.
In Episode 5, Imrul revealed that he used to be an illegal immigrant. At the age of 23, Imrul married his first girlfriend. This marriage provided Imrul with his papers to stay in the States. His housemates audibly gasped after this reveal.
Let me be clear. These messy messes were not shocked by the immigration component of this confession. More so, they were impressed that Imrul had been married. As Imrul smiled, he explained that they were in love and planning on marrying anyway, but as Imrul needed documentation to stay here, they agreed to expedite the process.
Imrul also revealed that he was monogamous in this relationship. However, he had to force himself to live this way. Now that he is divorced and free, his wild side seems to have taken over, he kidded.
After this episode aired, Imrul took to his socials to share more about his immigration backstory. In our current political landscape, many immigrants are living in the shadows, fearful of deportation. Therefore, Imrul knows that his story matters, he stressed. He then passionately urged his followers to show “compassion” to people who look different because “we are all going through a lot.”
Summer House shouldn’t be all about Imrul Hassan’s sex life, and he got called out in the midseason trailer
I do not care to recall the exact number of women Imrul has brought back to this house. Just know that this number is decent, as, again, is his right. Yet, as each lady gains her Imrul inspection pass, Imrul has remained honest about his actions with his equally chaotic roommates. Also, I am trying to find positive aspects about this man because Imrul has a unique opportunity to turn his Summer House storyline around with the fans.
We are growing bored with his consistent sex-crazed narratives. Thankfully, his costars have also clocked and taken notice of their new nightly female houseguests. As the midseason trailer proves, Imrul is about to get called out for his adult-themed antics on Summer House.
In this trailer, we see an annoyed Ciara Miller turning in her pool chair to ask Imrul, “Do you bring home girls like this in your own home because it’s obnoxious?” In response, a stunned Imrul adjusts his position to face Ciara, looking like he might verbally address her hot take. However, the trailer cuts to another scene, ruining our chances of hearing his retort.
Ciara feels done with this storyline. She wants Imrul to peel back another layer of his sexualized onion to try and connect with his new costars on other levels. We are glad Ciara pulled this punch because, as fans of this series, all we can yell is, SAME.
With some changes, Summer House newbie Imrul Hassan could become a fan favorite
On this man’s first evening as a cast member, Imrul brought a girl back to their rental. He has continued this pattern nightly on Summer House. His habits have his roommates waking up and questioning whether or not they will be met in the kitchen by a new walker of shame every morning.
Now, these stars are not saints by any stretch of the imagination. But, as Imrul prefers to talk, walk, and act like a sex-crazed duck, it is only natural that by midseason, everyone is bored. As we have all just seen (or read), Ciara will soon do the legwork, imploring Imrul to dig deeper in her signature call-it-out way. If Imrul takes the bait and runs with her annoyed suggestion, he has a shot of becoming a fan-favorite addition to this cast.
Feel free to keep opening your bed, Imrul. YOLO. But maybe open your heart and your world, since you’re on television now. Balance is the key to making a lasting impression on Bravo.
