Trigger Warning: This article contains discussions of domestic violence.
Ally Lewber is doing well following her split from James Kennedy. During Seasons 10 and 11, this couple presented as a (mostly) united front on Vanderpump Rules. By the end of Season 11, Ally and James had moved in together, further cementing their union as a pair. But once their cameras went down, everything changed.
Last November, the VPR cast received word that no one was returning to their series. Instead of bringing these stars back to ignore each other for another season, Bravo smartly went the reboot route. While this news shocked many fans, the cast seemed unfazed, almost like they knew their time was up. As for James and Ally, they were still going strong as a duo when this announcement landed, but one month later, that wasn’t the case.
When December arrived on their doorstep, it brought the police along for the ride. James and Ally got into a heated argument, which their neighbor overheard. Cue the police, slapping James with an arrest and a misdemeanor domestic charge of violence. So, where does Ally stand today? Spoiler alert: this girl is on fire.
Following his arrest, Ally Lewber stayed with James Kennedy
The police report and arrest logs added more details, noting that the female claimed her boyfriend lifted her off the ground before throwing her back down again. The female victim remained unnamed in the press. In time, Ally confirmed she was the woman in question. This incident occurred after James and Ally attended a Christmas party at the residence of Kathy Hilton in Bel-Air. A source in attendance revealed that James was running around this event, causing a scene.
Several hours later, the police arrested James at his house on December 11 at 11:50 p.m. James spent less than two hours in jail before bailing out. He then turned towards sobriety and his socials, stressing that he was “committed to making meaningful changes” in his life.
Meanwhile, a growing village of concerned friends turned towards Ally, inquiring how she was holding up. In response, Ally decided to stand by her man, whom she (reportedly) still felt safe around.
Across town, James’ attorney released a statement, saying that their team was investigating these allegations. His attorney hoped that there would be zero filed charges post-investigation. Last January, this wish came true, as James is now off the hook. Following this announcement, Ally took to her socials, expressing relief that James was not getting charged.
Then, Ally Lewber finally realized her relationship with James Kennedy was “toxic”
By the time James learned he was free, he and Ally had already split. Even after their breakup, Ally uplifted James with her statement above. She always felt like the media twisted the events of this incident. However, despite her graciousness towards James, Ally finally admitted that their relationship was “toxic.”
“It was difficult,” Ally explained via a March 26 teaser for her latest project. Their breakup was “very public,” Ally explained. However, she now recognizes “that was a toxic relationship.” Then, Ally shifted gears, thanking her support systems and fans for standing in her corner over the past few months as she and James sorted through the aftereffects of this incident.
Alli is “grateful for being on the other side of it.” She also remains “grateful for all of your comments and DMs and support that you guys have shown me. It’s been so encouraging and helpful, truly. I have a great support system here in LA. I’m grateful for my friends [and] my mom,” she stressed.
Now, Ally wants everyone to know that she is “great.” Likewise, she is “looking forward to this new era” of her life.
After ending things with James Kennedy, Ally Lewber moved out and is now launching a star-studded podcast
After James returned home following his arrest, Ally moved into a short-term rental. Yet, she and James remained together for several additional beats. Now that these two are over, Ally has secured her next residence. She has also nailed down her newest gig.
Ally is excited about her next steps, as this era includes her latest project, a podcast called StarStruck. The first episode premieres on April 2, and additional episodes arrive every Wednesday. Each week, Ally and a celebrity guest will sit down for one-on-one astrology readings, discussing how the stars aligned to shape their past, present, and future lives. Her upcoming guests include Sabrina Zohar, Jenn Tran, Jake Shane, Dylan Mulvaney, Kelsey Anderson, Anna Sitar, and Gabby Bernstein.
“We’ll be breaking down their birth charts from career highs to romantic lows,” Ally explained in a short reel posted to the YouTube channel of her podcast, adding that “nothing” will be “off limits.” Speaking about this podcast and her past and future selves, Ally says she is “enjoying decorating” her new house. She is also eager to start focusing on her love of astrology, AKA her passion, “and no more DJs or reality TV,” she cheekily emphasized.
Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
