Last year, rumors swirled about a new potential series on Bravo called Snowbirds. The cast of this rumored series had one thing in common: they were all New York City socialites who loved traveling back and forth between NYC and Palm Beach, Florida. But, after leaks sounded last year, things grew quiet regarding Snowbirds. Despite these crickets, we still feel like this series needs to happen.
As our world spins on, our need for nicer things grows. Can we afford a private plane and luxurious accommodations in NYC AND its Southern stepsister, Palm Beach? Nope. But New York City socialites can, so we need them to pay it forward, allowing us into their worlds via our television screens, if only for an hour a week.
When this series sprouted wings last year, the potential cast sounded right up our alley. The opportunities for messiness and well-moneyed narratives might reach a limit that does not exist. So, if anyone from Bravo, bring us Snowbirds, please.
Bravo rumors suggested Snowbirds was in the works
Midway through 2024, reports started mounting about this show. As Page Six first revealed, Snowbirds was in the works. The production teams were gearing up to pitch this new series to Bravo, describing it as a loose interpretation of Apple TV’s Palm Royale. This statement tracks as the cast members are all wealthy, dividing their time between two equally affluent cities, New York City and Palm Beach.
The cast of Snowbirds reportedly includes Sharon Bush, romance-novel cover model Cindy Guyer, celebrity publicist Anna Rothschild, entrepreneur Gale Brophy, cosmetic nurse injector Jane Scher, and Palm Beach socialites Guy Clark and Harrison Morgan. Harry Dubin was also supposed to appear, but he is not officially part of this cast.
Harry was also not a cast member on Real Housewives of New York. Instead, he just dangled his Dubin delights around certain DTF members of this cast.
After this, all reports on this series are muddy at best. The streets say Jane left filming. But Jane says, “There is no show, and whoever is leaking this is full of sh*t!” Another source claimed to know the truth, stating that no one wanted to film with Jane, as “These are substantial people, and no one wants to be associated with her.”
As Snowbirds was still in its infancy, problems were bound to happen. But we are now in 2025, and no other reports have surfaced. Despite its chaotic start, we hope to hear an update soon on this series.
Rachel Uchitel needs to be on the Snowbirds cast
Rachel Uchitel had an affair with Tiger Woods in 2009. After their affair broke the internet, Rachel appeared in an HBO documentary. Here, she candidly spoke about her relationship with Tiger. However, Tiger is not her only well-known fling, as, once again, all roads lead back to Bravo.
Back in the day, Rachel also allegedly had a fling with Paul “PK” Kemsley. She even claimed that this Bravo (estranged) husband spent “over a million dollars” on her alcohol consumption at her former nightclubs. But now, this nightclub manager, hostess, and TV correspondent enjoys a quieter life in a gorgeous home in Palm Beach, where, rumor has it, she will shine as one of the stars of Snowbirds.
After the cast list above leaked, Rachel started making headlines. The outlets reported that Rachel got added to the cast of Snowbirds. However, Rachel shut these claims down, stressing that she attended a few cast events, yet she is not a part of this cast. She just happened to be there.
Nevertheless, a production source sang a different tune. Rachel was not initially a part of this cast. But, she supposedly caught the attention of the producers when she popped up at all of the filmed cast events. Therefore, they wound up filming a sit-down interview with Rachel.
We need Rachel on this series. Her life has held messy moments, so we know she will not hold back on Bravo, a network she already has ties to.
Bravo could be taking their time with Snowbirds to get it right
Good things come to those who wait (sometimes). Film and television are no exception to this rule. Rushed experiences make for choppy scenes, ridiculous, borderline fake storylines, and also, piss-poor edits. This narrative makes us feel like the lack of an update on Snowbirds is likely due to Bravo not wanting to mess this series up before it even has a chance to get out of the gilded gates of Palm Beach.
One of the issues production was reportedly struggling with was casting. As Snowbirds features the elites of the East, these players must be affluent and willing to bear it all. Otherwise, Snowbirds will flop, and the efforts of the production teams will all have been for naught.
No one wants this. Yet, successful series typically take many aspects into account, especially if their teams want it to last for several additional seasons on a desirable network. This reasoning is why we are still holding space for Snowbirds to land on this network, as perhaps they are merely honing this project, not abandoning it where it stands. Now, what say you, Bravo?
