It’s no secret that Gerry Turner didn’t get his happily ever after in The Golden Bachelor’s premiere season. The widow was looking for a new partner, and by the end of the season, he proposed to contestant Theresa Nist. The couple seemed deeply in love during their engagement and even had a star-studded wedding televised for all to see.
So, it was pretty shocking when their marriage didn’t last more than six months. Now that Gerry is back to being a bachelor, the question remains if he would do like most alums from The Bachelor and try his luck on another season. Speaking of alums, the next season of Bachelor in Paradise is coming this summer. And, in addition to the typical returning contestants who are in their 20s and 30s, some Golden fan-favorites will also be in the cast. Will Gerry be one of them? He just addressed the rumor.
Gerry Turner turned down Bachelor in Paradise after “golden” twist
Gerry recently confirmed with TMZ that fans should not expect him to be in Bachelor In Paradise Season 10. Whilst he’s not opposed to making a cameo or two, the former reality TV star has no interest in being one of the contestants.
He also shared with the outlet that he was officially asked to join the cast, but he declined. The reason Gerry gave was that when it comes to the Golden alums who are set to join the season, he already knows that he won’t feel any romantic sparks with them. This is a major clue for fans who know which contestants he didn’t mesh with on his season.
Nevertheless, if Gerry is still looking for love, he’s going to do it privately. At least, for now.
