Bosch Star Titus Welliver & Author Michael Connelly Bid Farewell To The Series After 10 Years In Video

Bosch star Titus Welliver and author Michael Connelly bid farewell to the TV series after 10 years in a video honoring their time making the show. The original series began in 2014 on Prime Video, ending with season 6 before continuing in the 2022 spinoff series, Bosch: Legacy. However, Bosch: Legacy season 3 marked the end of the long-running police procedural series based on Connelly’s Harry Bosch book series. The newest season ended on April 17, 2025 with the show’s final two episodes, which brought the series to a climactic conclusion.

Now, the official Bosch Instagram account has posted a video featuring Welliver and Connelly bidding farewell to the TV show after over 10 years of working on it. The pair pay homage to all the work that’s gone into making the show as big a long-running success as it’s been. Connelly, in particular, mentions the social media love for the show, and the devastation that it ended with season 3. Even so, the video is a positive reflection of the series’ history. The Show’s Legacy Will Live On

The video Welliver and Connelly created shows just how much the show has impacted their careers, and how big a part of their lives it’s been for over a decade. Bosch: Legacy ending with season 3 has resulted in an outcry on social media, with a major push for more seasons being made by fans of the show. While even cast and crew members have expressed interest in the series continuing into their originally-planned season 4, this newest video make it seem definitive that the series isn’t going to be coming back for more.

However, the end of Bosch: Legacy isn’t a curtain call for the franchise itself, with the upcoming Ballard spinoff set to continue the story of Maggie Q’s Renée Ballard. The show’s first trailer also revealed Welliver will guest star in the series, although it’s unclear just how big a role he’s really going to have. However, it won’t be the same as the original series with a new character taking the spotlight, making the latest episodes of the show the end of the series’ status quo.

The Series Is Clearly Important To Both Of Them

Given the passionate goodbye both Welliver and Connelly offered to Bosch, it’s clear both series starring the titular detective were important to them. However, with Ballard coming out soon, it’s not going to be goodbye forever for the series’ universe, even if the adventures are going to be focused on Q’s character instead. Still, it goes to show how honored the original series will continue to be, even as the franchise steps onto a new path.
