In a time when America teeters on the brink of fiscal ruin, one man stands tall against the tide of bureaucratic excess: Elon Musk.

The Tesla CEO and world’s richest man has once again proven his unwavering commitment to the nation by spearheading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a bold initiative to slash waste and fraud in Washington.

During an earnings call Tuesday night with Tesla investors, Musk revealed that starting in May, he will scale back his role in President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative to refocus on Tesla, which saw a sharp dip in quarterly earnings due to radical left attacks.

“Starting probably in [the] next month, May, my time allocation to DOGE will drop significantly,” Musk said.

“I’ll have to continue doing it for, I think, the remainder of the president’s term just to make sure that the waste and fraud doesn’t come roaring back, which we’ll do, if it has the chance.”

“I believe the right thing here is to just fight the waste and fraud and get the country back on the right track and working together with President Trump and his administration, because if the ship of America goes down, we all go down with it, including Tesla and everyone else,” Musk told investors.

Let’s be clear—DOGE has been a success. Under Musk’s leadership, entire agencies have been streamlined, taxpayer dollars have been saved, and wasteful liberal pet projects have been tossed into the dustbin where they belong. That success, however, is exactly what has Democrats panicking.

Below are some of the updates from DOGE team:

Musk’s alignment with conservatives, including his role in DOGE and public support for Donald Trump, has alienated many of Tesla’s traditionally progressive supporters. Polling indicates that 59% of Democrats are now less likely to purchase a Tesla due to Musk’s political activities, according to Politico.

In the first quarter of 2025, Tesla reported a 71% drop in net profit and a 20% decline in automotive revenue. The company’s stock has plummeted by nearly 50% since December.`
