Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder Feud Update: Details

Without a doubt, Vanderpump Rules always had some of the greatest feuds. Stassi Schroeder was the queen of mean, often putting the men and women on her cast in their place. She never held back when it came to Scheana Shay, noting, “I’m not sure what I’ve done to you, but I’ll take a Pinot Grigio.” The same attitude has now been turned and focused on Lala Kent. Even though the women used to be friends, it seems like those ships have sailed.

What was the reason for Lala Kent and Stassi Schroder’s feud?

It always felt like Lala had a weird obsession with Stassi. I mean, who didn’t, she was the Queen Bee. But ever since Lala joined Vanderpump Rules in Season 4, it seemed like she desperately wanted a friendship with the OG. But early on, Stassi wasn’t a fan, especially when in 2017, Lala would often talk badly about her and her friends in interviews and on podcasts.

In March 2024, Lala opened up on her Give Them Lala podcast noting she was “bummed” Stassi didn’t tell her in person. “We had a dinner after a birthday party — I think it was Ocean’s — and she had announced her pregnancy,” Kent said. “Then, she was like, ‘I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you.’ And I said, ‘I was a little hurt that I found out through social media.’ Like, if you notice on her photo, all I wrote was, ‘Congrats.’” In Stassi’s book, You Can’t Have It All: The Basic B*tch Guide to Taking the Pressure Off she opened up more about her fallout with Lala.

Stassi Schroeder calls out Lala Kent

One passage recalled her wedding drama with some of the women. She wrote via Reddit, “As soon as I accepted my fate, I knew right away that I really wanted them all in white, with different silhouettes. White is chic AF. They could wear lace or velvet or chiffon — I didn’t care as long as it matched the cool white/ivory vibe I envisioned. I was very specific about this.” At the time, Lala was meant to be one of the bridesmaids who walked down the aisle in Italy. But it all went to hell in a handbasket during an altercation at BravoCon.

“We were in New York for BravoCon … and I remember talking to her about my very chill-but-mandatory color-coordinated silhouette rule, and she commented that she would never allow anyone else to wear white to her wedding, but she would wear a white dress to mine if she had to. She literally said that to me,” Stassi recalled. The petty argument went deeper. Stassi shared that she learned via Lala’s stylist that the former hostess had implemented a white dress code for her bridesmaids. Stassi wrote, “Bridechilla immediately left the building. And I lost my sh*t, going off on this poor stylist and yelling, ‘She said she wanted blush or metallics! She thinks white is a terrible f*cking idea!’” She confronted Lala. But Stassi said the host said “that I was insane for getting so angry.”

Why it’s great Stassi Schroeder is back on TV with Vanderpump Villa

Even though they had a few heated exchanges over the years, Stassi revealed last year that they are “still close.” However, the influencer is putting her family first and keeping her distance from her former Vanderpump Rules life. Stassi is, however, returning to the small screen for the new season of Vanderpump Villa. She will serve as Lisa Vanderpump’s eyes and ears as a special VIP worker/guest. Even though she was fired from VPR due to racist acts, fans are hoping she has matured and learned her lesson.

Season 1 of Vanderpump Villa was everything and more. The drama was at an all-time high, and it felt like the early days of Vanderpump Rules. With Stassi joining, it means that there will be a sense of grounding for the new season. And at least a few good quips from the blonde. One thing is for sure: Lala will be keeping her distance as Stassi’s star begins to rise again.

The Vanderpump Rules is available to stream on Peacock.
