Mike Waltz Wishes Melania Trump Happy Birthday Amid Mixed Reactions

There were a good number of mixed responses that came in to Mikewaltz.com on his happy birthday tweet for Melania Trump. For Waltz, Melania was inspiring. Mike shared birthday wishes for Melania Trump and attached a picture of Melania smiling with a group of others. There were nearly instant responses from supporters, skeptics, and downright mean people.

“Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁” tweeted Angelia Cruz cheerfully, before Ann Mason soon after put, “Exactly what has she done that is inspiring?” A transition appeared: some were defending and offering praise for the First Lady’s charm and elegance, while others wished her well and out of their minds.

Unimpressed, Rizal the Younger commented on Melania’s charming photo, “Trump-the-teeth very-and the-arch-of-this-smile very pronounced-cheekedness, Good-shot,” while Thach Nguyen brashly poked, “Mike, what is so inspiring about Melania? Because she is still married to Trump?” Another pointed comment from Sir LieALot stated: “Not that inspiring but okay,” which plainly echoed what irked any other critic against the Trump family.

But far from all the comments out there were positive. Erik Durneika observed “very classy” and Trevor Thacker proclaimed, “the hands down most BEAUTIFUL First Lady we’ve ever had!” This would contrast with those two approving comments, illustrating how scathing criticism illustrated how polarizing the Trumps remain all far from the White House.

Some comments took a more confusing turn, such as Fit American who commented, “Who’s the Chinese lady?” They left that question to float along with the chaotic momentum of the thread. Neil Poopwater made an off-topic declaration instead: “Defund Ukraine and stop flirting with starting a war with Iran.”

The timing of the whole thing did not escape notice. “Made it with 30 minutes to spare. Cutting it close, Mike,” SprintPlanner teased. “Right at the buzzer there, Mike feelings,” I’mma Duck said. Apparently, not even the detail so specific it could be described legendarily of Donald Trump sitting while others stood for the photo was safe from critique from The Real Slim Skagmacker: “Weird that you’re by his side instead of Melania. And why didn’t he stand up?”

In the end, all the mixed reactions aside, the tweet served to achieve its primary goal-bring controversy. Whether from a place of making fun, in love, or pure confusion, the comments cemented one thing: she gets talked about, often for all the wrong reasons. So perhaps, some birthday wishes and a battleground were drawn with many other comments, showing that in the political arena, even a birthday wish starts cranking the wheels.

So while Mike Waltz was probably just being nice, the internet was gonna internet. Twitter? Never a dull moment, even when just reminiscing about a birthday cake with some candles.
