Speaking about bonding with fellow artists who have been her idols, Ballerini revealed that the “Fortnight” hitmaker advocating for her music was life-changing.
Swift is known to be openly supportive of up-and-coming artists and friends in the industry. So, when the pop star publicly supported Ballerini’s first EP, “The First Time,” it meant a lot to the singer. Ballerini told the outlet, “Taylor [Swift] tweeting about my first EP before ‘Love Me Like You Mean It’ hit Top 40 changed my career.”
Previously, “The Voice” judge opened up about her friendship with Swift. Speaking to Taste of Country ahead of the release of her album “Patterns” in October, Ballerini revealed that she and Swift would talk frequently. The country star mentioned that most of the time, it would be her “fangirling” over her friend, which, according to her, is “pretty usual.”
During her appearance on Today’s “Sunday Sitdown” with Willie Geist last year, Kelsea Ballerini recalled Taylor Swift’s advice to her. The former recalled that her friend suggested she become her version of “undeniable,” which struck a chord with the country star.
