Imposing punishments and enforcing laws for illegal immigration, on the other hand, appear to be really dysfunctional when fragmenting words which seal reality. The former parliamentarian congressman weighing in on the immigration law gives a really bad hit online. Political commentator Paul A. Szypula accused Kinzinger of having tweeted that he did not know helping someone avoid deportation was illegal. Comparisons of Kinzinger’s grass level to that of AOC was poured on this. Yikes.

The Internet frenzy is nothing short of making Kinzinger feel rotten about his opinion on this matter. Ouch. Others like ann smith and faulk ml hit him the classic legal principle ‘ignorance of law does not excuse’- which you’d think a former lawmaker would know.
For his part, Banjo Playing Orangutan had some wild theory about getting Kinzinger paid for walking back an earlier statement: “It’s a good sign, and I hope he got paid for this, because it’s gotta be humiliating.” In the meantime, Keith Dutter threw shade by implying that Kinzinger and Jasmine Crockett might be consulting each other on bad takes. The jokes sometimes do write themselves.
Things turned very personal, very quickly. Daniel Brodersen and TH17 labeled Kinzinger as an alcoholic. Patty Bishop asked him outright which planet he fell from. Not very subtle, while Brodersen dubbed him “horribly petty, clearly terrified, low IQ, borderline midget, pathetic untreated alcoholic.”
Yet, more legal takes kept coming-informing everyone that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Abby said the judges definitely can and do commit crimes, complete with sharing examples of judges arrested very recently. Sheppard156 was particularly inflamed at some judge allegedly “smuggling” a suspect out of court, saying, “THE JUDGE ACTUALLY SMUGGLED OUT HER COURTROOM THE ACTUAL SUSPECT IN FRONT OF THE VICTIM OF A CRIME!”
Then, of course, were the personal attacks. More than a few people commented on Kinzinger’s weight: ‘His face is getting fatter and fatter,’ Doodlesmom commented, while Amy Shannon said simply, ‘He has put on some weight.’ Kano went for the jugular with ‘It’s incredible that, with a brain like his, he remembers to breathe.’
The Counter said it short and sweet that way: ‘A cowardly prick too,’ while Dan Maguire used ”This guy is not just an attention whore, he is a dope to boot.’ Somehow Norman Germond made it about AOC, saying that Kinzinger ‘makes AOC look like a freaking genius!”
Some commenters brought receipts. Noreasoningwithstupid narrated an incident where he was ticketed in Chicago and learned that ignorance is no excuse. JeffMR920 pointed out that it is also illegal to lie and destroy evidence in investigations, irrespective of what you know. CJAMessina went on a rant against illegal immigrants, saying that they commit crimes against Americans.
By and large, most people feel that either Kinzinger does not understand the very basics of laws or puts up an act not to understand them for political mileage. Either way, the net does not seem to catch anything he is throwing. From legal arguments to personal insults to any sheer disbelief that someone in his position could say something so… questionable.

Sure, annoying, but not terribly popular in the court of the public opinion? But what Kinzinger said just doesn’t fly under the rubric of legality or morality-it really is free streaming mud for him. Under the law, in his honor, or even in his personal habits, people are after him from every angle. And, really? He sort of walked into this one.
