If you streamed the episode of Vanderpump Villa where the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives visited, you saw the SLC girls in party mode.
In the episode, Lisa Vanderpump announced that the MomToks were coming to Castello Rosato. The getaway was a “last hurrah” for Jen Affleck before she and her husband moved to Arizona for him to attend medical school.
Even though there was no alcohol consumed, the group played an innocent game of Never Have I Ever with the staff. Things went sideways from there. Now Demi Engemann is reporting that she was “groped” and “sexually assaulted” while filming the show in Italy.
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann asked co-stars not to discuss alleged Vanderpump Villa sexual assault
Apparently, Demi and Villa server Marciano Brunette “spent a lot of time together” that evening. “What exactly happened between you and Demi?” a producer asked in a show confessional.
“What do I actually want to say now?” he responded. “Holy sh*t, I don’t know where to start.”
Subsequently, Demi told Nick Viall on The Viall Files podcast, “I had opened up to all the girls after Vanderpump Villa. [I told them] that I’d been groped. I asked them to not tell anyone … A couple of girls were, like, you need to file against this guy.”
Demi, however, needed to handle things in her own way. “I just need you to respect that that I don’t want to talk about this,” she continued. “I don’t want to make it [a legal issue]. Please promise me you won’t tell your husbands. Do not tell a soul.”
But just two weeks later, Jessi Ngatikaura spilled the beans to Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay. “You don’t even know Scheana,” Demi said. “Why would you … tell her something that I’ve asked you not to tell [anyone]?”
Demi’s husband, Bret Engemann, blames Jessi’s slip on a need to be famous. “She will do anything to be famous,” he said. “That is her number one priority in her life.” Kind of ironic that a man who’s now on his third reality TV show would criticize someone for trying to be famous, but there you have it.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is now streaming on Hulu.
