Lisa Vanderpump Releases Anti-Bullying Statement

Lisa Vanderpump has had enough of online fans trolls cyberbullying her Vanderpump Villa cast members.

On May 4, Lisa delivered a pointed message to the haters on her Instagram. “To all of our wonderful fans: I’m so grateful for your passion and support for my shows,” she wrote. “But I must say this — no one deserves to be bullied, harassed, or targeted online.”

“The cast members are human beings, with real feelings, doing their best in a high-pressure environment,” she continued. “Healthy conversation is welcomed, but cruelty is not. Let’s uplift, not tear down. Kindness always wins. #StopCyberBullying.”

Lisa’s post received support from several friends, including Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow. The mom of four is familiar with cyberbullies. Heather kept it simple, writing, “Well said” in the comments, accompanied by a red heart emoji.

On April 24, Hulu dropped all 10 episodes of Vanderpump Villa Season 2. While Season 1 took place in France, Season 2 was located in an Italian villa in Tuscany. The villa received a name change for the show as Castello Rosato (Castle Rosé), since everyone knows pink is Lisa’s favorite color.

Some viewers had opinions about the return of Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder as Lisa’s “special VIP guest” and eyes on the ground. In addition, Others had feelings about some of the more controversial staff members, like Siadi and Sianna. Their relationship left bubbly Sianna a depressed, weepy shell of herself; while Siadi’s Jekyll-and-Hyde personality made him a star with the guests but a bully with the staff. He also had an odd British accent that resurfaced from time to time.

Further, some viewers had comments about the crossover event with the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives coming to stay.

Ironically, some fans found it odd that Lisa would speak out against cyberbullies, while she has defended her male employees from accusations of alleged abusive behavior for years and is still bullying Kristen Doute a decade after her termination.

On May 8, Hulu will drop the Vanderpump Villa Season 2 Reunion. I can’t wait to hear more background information from the cast themselves. Set your DVRs now.

Vanderpump Villa Season 2 is now streaming on Hulu.
