The track delivers that raw energy typical of MGK’s punk-rap, with an undertone of raw, emotional lyricism that fans have been devouring (sic “listening to”). On the other hand, the iTunes alternative chart plays in a major league. It’s not only well and truly gone to battle with the heavy hitters in the genre, but it has also gone all the way top again, just to confirm that, yes, Machine Gun Kelly is the real master at catchy tunes.

The Machine Gun Kelly never does anything quiet—he doesn’t even know the meaning of quiet—and Iris alone stands to testify that he’s certainly not closing down anytime soon. Be it that you love him or hate him, the fact that he is out here making moves is actually something you can’t deny. Currently, those moves include iTunes alternative charts domination. What an impressive way to start a Tuesday, I must say.
