Nattie, the WWE superstar, has just uploaded a throwback picture that got everyone talking. It features a picture of the old wrestling giant Andre The Giant back from when he was in Stampede Wrestling and again has her grandpa, Stu Hart, on the far right along with her mom, Nattie’s mom in a white dress. This old black and white snap-shot would be pure gold in the history of wrestling and hits people’s hearts.

First off, can we just comment on how small Nattie’s mom seems compared to Andre? Dude was MASSIVE even by wrestling standards. Alisha Breslow nailed it with her reply: “Look at how small your momma looks next to him!!! My goodness!! But she’s a beauty!” That’s the thing about Andre – he just made everyone look like plastic toys next to him. Even other wrestlers appeared small to him, just imagine what an average human would feel if he stood next to Andre. Insane.
There are some replies which are quite amusing. Like Joe just straight asks “Which one’s Andre?” Bruh … come on now. The 7-foot tall dude kind of stands out. Then there’s Mike Roberts getting all personal about white dresses: “The only time my mom was EVER in a White Dress was when she was Marrying my Stepdad.” Okay Mike, we didn’t ask but… cool story? Meanwhile RideTheGopher69 noticed something wild – “Wow if you glance quick Stu and the Big Show could’ve been Brothers!” Now that you mention it… kinda true?
This photograph gets its quantity love from all the wrestling fans who have seen the glorious days of Stampede Wrestling. Las Vegas Mat calls Stu as “the best, a fantastic promoter,” while Jeremy Michaels summed it all in few words-“Such a great photo. So many legends.” Capt Howdy even shared some of his personal wrestling fandom: “Growing up in such an iconic wrestling family in Canada makes me envious.” Same, dude. Same.
Random observation: Stephen’s out here: “What a great phone.” Blasting his own compliment on photograph quality. Like, my guy, this was probably an actual photograph taken on a camera from like the 70s or 80s. Phones back then were literally just for call to people. Unless he meant the framing/composition? Either way, weird compliment but oh well.
Wholesome reply – There is Alex sharing a pic of the book that they are reading about Andre captioned: “Look at the book im reading today my idol.” That is the thing with Andre; decades later, he still inspires new generations of wrestling fans. Truly, the man was one of a kind.
Nattie has gotten pretty good at sharing these behind-the-scenes moments in wrestling history, and this is no exception. It’s hard to imagine how many legends came through Stampede Wrestling back in the day. From Andre to Stu Hart and a whole list of others, that promotion was basically a who’s who of wrestling royalty. And to see her family right there in the middle of it all? That’s about some serious wrestling pedigree right there.
The photo rekindled some wrestling memories among fans too. Apparently, “I was lucky enough to see Andre wrestle in Edmonton. He was huge, holy cow,” said Albertaproud. Yeah, no kidding. Meanwhile, Kevin Lewis needed to ask the big question: “Did Stu sell the punch?” Classic wrestling fan question right there. Always thinking about the in-ring psychology.

And at the end of the day, this is why wrestling history counts. Cool old throwbacks like these aren’t just that, but pieces of a bigger story, one about larger-than-life characters, family legacies and the wacky place called professional wrestling. Nattie is right there at the center of that legacy, sharing these moments that help keep history alive. More of this please.
