‘Resident Alien’ Season 4 Sets Premiere Date on USA, Syfy, and Peacock

It’s been over a year since Resident Alien left the airwaves following the conclusion of Season 3 in April 2024, but the wait for Season 4 is almost over, as everyone’s favorite extraterrestrial is returning on Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA and Syfy. Debuting in 2021, Resident Alien stars Alan Tudyk as a visitor from another planet that’s sent to Earth to wipe out humanity, but instead finds himself developing compassion for the human race after crash-landing in the small Colorado town of Patience.

NBCUniversal made the announcement recently about Resident Alien‘s impending return, noting that the 10-episode season will premiere simultaneously on June 6 on both the USA and Syfy networks. Episodes will be available on Peacock one week after they air, so if you only watch the show on the streaming service, you can look for it to premiere on Friday, June 13. Picking right up from where Season 3 left off, Season 4 promises to be just as exciting, with Mantids, secrets and an old-fashioned murder mystery all front and center this year. Check out the official synopsis for Resident Alien Season 4 below.

Based on the Dark Horse comics created by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, the small-screen adaptation of Resident Alien has been a huge success thus far, with both fans and critics giving it two thumbs up. It holds an overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 97%, while its Popcornmeter sits just a little lower at 86%. Described by Samantha Nelson of Polygon as a cross between “Invader Zim and Northern Exposure” (with a dash of Ted Lasso tossed in there for good measure), Terry Terrones from the Colorado Springs Gazette says that Resident Alien “is laugh-out-loud funny, full of heart-felt moments and, much like Harry himself, surprisingly sincere.”

With the series managing to maintain its popularity over the course of three seasons and build its loyal audience even larger, it’ll be interesting to see what the reception to Season 4 is like. Season 3 was met with generally favorable reviews from fans, but there were some who mentioned that it does seem to be losing a little of its shine. Will the series be able to win them back this year? We’ll have to wait until June 6 to find out.

All past seasons of Resident Alien are streaming now on Peacock and Netflix. Be sure to check out the trailer for Season 4 here.
