Survivor 48 Top 5, Ranked (2025)

Survivor 48 wraps up tonight, after an eventful but at times frustrating season. While Survivor 48 had an interesting start, the game began to become too predictable after the merge. There are several contestants in the final five who have a chance at the million dollar prize, although some are in a better position to win than others.

Who are the Survivor 48 Top 5?

  • Mitch Guerra
  • Kamilla Karthigesu
  • Kyle Fraser
  • Joe Hunter
  • Eva Erickson

The Survivor 48 Top 5 features players who have worked incredibly hard to get to this point in the game. From the original Civa tribe, Mitch Guerra along with Kamilla Karthigesu and Kyle Fraser have made the finale. On the other hand, power duo Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson from the original Lagi tribe are also still in the game. While all of these castaways have played impressive games, some rank higher than others.

Out of the five contestants left, Eva seems like the least likely to be crowned the winner. Eva hasn’t made many moves this season, which is critical to any Survivor win. While she ended up with two advantages in the game, they were obtained more through luck. Star Toomey handed Eva her idol after she helped her crack the code. Later on, Eva received a safety without power advantage after being given a clue at a reward following her immunity challenge win.

Eva is certainly a comp beast, however, this isn’t enough to win Survivor. Unlike some of the other remaining contestants, Eva hasn’t pulled off any blindsides. Instead, she has simply gone along with votes. The jury is looking for a player with a resume and it just doesn’t seem like Eva has that.

Similarly to Eva, Mitch has struggled to make big moves this season. Nonetheless, Mitch’s strategic resume is slightly more impressive than Eva’s. Mitch’s best move this season was the use of his block-a-vote on Sai Hughley, which contributed to her being sent home before making the jury. Since then, however, Mitch has been hesitant to make any big moves.

Unlike Eva, Mitch has consistently been at the bottom of the merge tribe. This is where his game is more impressive, as he has fought a lot harder to survive in the game than she has had to. Overall, however, Mitch just doesn’t have the strategic resume to win against the other three remaining castaways.

3. Joe Hunter

While Joe has been considered a lock-in for the win by many, the most recent episode has me thinking otherwise. Joe’s social game has been amazing and he’s been friends with nearly everyone on the island. Furthermore, Joe is a comp beast and currently has four immunity challenge wins to his name.

Where Joe lacks, however, is strategy. Similarly to his number one ally Eva, Joe has gone along with votes rather than try to lead them. The jury is often looking for a contestant who led big moves in the game. While Joe has performed well socially and physically, he hasn’t been the most strategic player. This could potentially impact his chance at winning the game if the jury doesn’t think Joe has enough on his resume.

2. Kamilla Karthigesu

Kamilla has played an impressive game and an incredibly well-rounded one. Since the beginning of the game, Kamilla has done well socially and formed a key number-one alliance with Kyle. While Kamilla hasn’t been the best in challenges, she has excelled in puzzles which helped her to secure a critical immunity win.

As a duo, Kamilla and Kyle have led multiple blindsides and moves. On the new Vula tribe, Kamilla took the lead on blindsiding Thomas Krottinger through the use of her extra vote and Kyle’s idol. This completely changed the course of the game, as it evened out the numbers on the new Vula tribe. Kamilla and Kyle also made moves blindsiding other big threats like David Kinne and Shauhin Davari. While Kamilla and Kyle both have a good shot at winning the game, Kyle has led the moves a little more than Kamilla.

1. Kyle Fraser

My winner pick for Survivor 48 is Kyle, as he has played the best game of the season in my opinion. Kyle has played a strong social game, all while covering the fact that he’s a lawyer. He’s also excelled in physical challenges, with several challenge wins. His strategic game has also been impressive and his alliance with Kamilla has helped the two to control the game.

Kyle ranks slightly above Kamilla since he has led the blindsides on David and Shauhin more than she has. Kyle helped to convince the other castaways to vote for David and also helped to save Kamilla from elimination the week prior. Last week, Kyle also came up with an intricate plan for blindsiding Shauhin. If Kyle and Kamilla sit together at the final three, I think Kyle will claim the majority of their moves as a duo.

Survivor is available to stream on Paramount +.
