Tourist’s ‘essential’ advice for anyone travelling to Majorca | Travel News | Travel

A British holidaymaker in Majorca has shared her top tips she wishes she had known before jetting off to the popular destination. Jasmine, a seasoned traveller, documented her weekend getaway in Sol Palmanova, Majorca, offering invaluable advice on hotel choices, dining options, beach activities and transportation. The first piece of advice from the content creator was to request a room on a higher floor when booking a hotel. According to Jasmine, this ensures you have “such a good view” of the surrounding area.

In addition to accommodation tips, the TikToker suggested that pre-booking restaurants for your holiday can save considerable time and stress.

She advised: “Next thing I wish I knew before going is pre-book your restaurants you want to try. [Sol] Palmanova can get really busy, sometimes they don’t have reservations available.”

Her third tip, which she described as her “favourite one,” emphasised the enjoyment to be had at the local beach.

She recommended: “You have to go to [Sol] Palmanova beach and hire a pedalboat. We paid around €20 for half an hour and we actually had so much fun.”

The globetrotter, known as @jasmtravel, also insisted that watching the sunset from the shore is a must-do, claiming the location offers “some of the best views” she has ever witnessed.

For those less interested in beach activities, Jasmine suggested taking a bus into the centre of Palma, a journey that will only cost around €2.

She enthused: “We were able to do a lot of shopping that we weren’t able to do in Palmanova. They have a lot of cafes and cocktail bars, and all the buildings are so cute.

“It was just nice to have an afternoon out from around the pool.”

With approximately 17.8 million holidaymakers gracing Majorca’s sun-soaked shores in 2023, it’s estimated a staggering 3.7 million were Britons.

Renowned for its balmy weather, sparkling seas and sun-drenched beaches, Majorca is heralded as an idyllic destination for families.

Many UK airports fly to Majorca including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham and Leeds.
