Trump Admin Under Fire As Climate Activists Take Over HHS Roles

The Trump administration had a disruption in its vetting, not-for-more-days kind of crisis, and the people were not thrilled with it, said Laura Loomer. Justifiably so, she said that radical left-wing climate activists are now being given senior positions for Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under RFK Jr. Major drama ensues.

Let’s just say there’s a name: Stefanie Spear, Deputy Chief of Staff, to Kennedy. Now, she is the exact opposite of a health policy expert. Instead, she is the founder of EcoWatch, a publication whose staunch stand is toward severe climate activism. Some of those wild statements include: “The climate crisis is the biggest threat to our lives” and “Fossil fuels are more deadly than cigarettes, malaria, HIV/AIDS.” Yikes.

Loomer is not going down quietly. She labeled what she said “a vetting failure,” warning that with Spear in charge, HHS resources might be diverted from real health issues to climate issues. This whole mess looks worse with Trump telling Kennedy to “stay in his lane.”

Now the responses? Some are batty-good! Some are down-right indignant. Mark Okonski called it “not acceptable,” saying the White House did not conduct proper vetting of the candidates. Carla Brooks just went on and screamed, “Boot them all out!!!!” Classic!

Then you have people like Christina Hamburg, who refuse to believe in climate change, rendering it “just weather” and shifting the blame onto China and India. Then there was Chad, who dragged Kennedy for his previous remarks about locking up climate change deniers and pushing for reparations. Oof.

Not all of the replies are laden with animosity; some do offer some suggestions. Tony Gianino suggested Loomer might volunteer or intern for the Trump administration to ultimately assist in fixing the vetting process. Elaine Price, meanwhile, threw out the rather dramatic but probably effective idea of erecting a banner with photos of these “bad pick traitors” to shame them.

But what may be the real question here- how did it even happen? Loomer has labeled this “vetting crisis,” yet the replies indicate the populace is not just annoyed, but outright worried. If HHS is supposed to be about health, but key players have been found to be pushing the climate agenda, what does that say for actual health on the ground?

Simply put: this is not just about a single individual. This is the question of whether the Trump administration can hold on to its agencies, and its policies. If Kennedy team really is being filled by those that have never aligned with Trump’s “America-first” policies, well that is a problem. A very big one indeed.

Then, what’s next? More outrage? Some reshuffling? Or it will just be swept under the carpet? Whatever happens next, the story is staying put, with Loomer refusing to let go as well as the commenters following suit.
