Before The Valley and Vanderpump Rules, Brittany Cartwright was living life in Kentucky. She certainly hasn’t forgotten her roots, and in addition to that spin-off series Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, she frequently makes trips back to her home state.
Now that her divorce from Jax Taylor is underway, though, the question on the table is whether or not she will move back to Kentucky and start fresh. And, since her ex has given her full custody of their son Cruz, the ball is in her court. She just gave fans an update on her future living arrangements.
Brittany Cartwright loves Kentucky, but is settled with Cruz in The Valley
Brittany was a recent guest on Watch What Happens Live and answered the question of Kentucky vs. California. She shared that while Kentucky will always have her heart, it can’t beat all of the career opportunities LA has to offer.
“In LA there’s just a lot going on and I need to be able to support my son and I feel like LA’s the best place for that right now. There’s so many more opportunities there and a lot that I can do,” she explained in the April 29 episode.
The reality TV star elaborated by sharing that after Cruz’s autism diagnosis, she’s been getting him help and wouldn’t want to uproot his stability.
“I’ve already got Cruz set up in all the therapies and everything that he has and his support group is so incredible. They love him so much. They care about everything about his life just as much as I do, and I don’t really want to change up what’s happening at this moment.”
This is good news for Jax, who has been hoping their co-parenting schedule can improve. If the former couple are going to stay in the same area, it should be easier to carve out time.
For now, she and Cruz still reside in the home they used to share with Jax, who has moved out into a townhouse.
