Dwight Eubanks Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

A Bravo icon needs our support. Dwight Eubanks from Real Housewives of Atlanta, who made the iconic “fashion show with no fashions” quip, announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now, the famous party planner is getting candid about next steps and why he’s laughing through this journey.

Dwight Eubanks, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, opens up about prostate cancer diagnosis

Dwight opened up to People about his prostate cancer diagnosis. The 64-year-old received the news in January 2025. Prior to that, he said he felt like “Superman,” thinking that something like cancer would never impact him. Then, he had a blood test at a health fair that changed everything.

He explained, “When you hear the word cancer, you freak out. I’m human. Society has told us that cancer was just devastating and, you know, you just have days to live. So, of course, I freaked out, and I think I’m still freaked out.”

Dwight had a follow-up with his doctor. They performed a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test to confirm the diagnosis. Then, he realized that previous bloodwork with his doctor already showed high PSA levels. A test in 2022 showed high PSA levels, but it went unnoticed.

“I was like, are you kidding me? This was back in 2022, and nobody said anything to me. He just said, ‘You’re undetectable, so you are fine.’ Never said anything about my prostate. I guess they just weren’t looking at that,” Dwight explained.

He added, “I just have to laugh instead of crying about this whole journey.”

With that said, prostate cancer is deeply personal to Dwight. He lost his grandfather to prostate cancer nearly 30 years ago and also saw a friend go through a “traumatic” experience with the disease four years ago. For now, he’s working with doctors to determine a treatment plan.

Dwight also partnered with an organization called ZERO Prostate Cancer, educating men about the importance of regular screenings. He’s putting a specific emphasis on Black men, who are at a greater risk of developing the disease.

“I could not be silent with this because it could help people if they just get tested and don’t wait too long. And most important: ask questions, look at your records, investigate,” he explained. “I can’t say what should have, could have, or would have been, but I just have to embrace where I am now and be grateful and try to help somebody else along the way.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
