In 2020 Hannah Ferrier was fired from Below Deck Mediterranean and it echoed across the reality TV world. People were interested to know what happened between her and Captain Sandy Yawn for years after it happened. And for a long time, they were on the outs. But now, fences have been mended and it looks like they’ll even be working together again.
A quick recap: Sandy fired Hannah in Season 5 of Below Deck Med for having a CBD vape pen and undisclosed anxiety medication. Despite Hannah having had a prescription for the medication, she never informed Sandy the drugs were going to be on the ship. It remains one of the most controversial decisions in the series and fans immediately took sides.

As expected, the two remained at odds for a long time and had several frosty interactions over the years including the time Sandy wanted to send a baby gift and Hannah ignored her.
But they have finally made peace. During Sandy’s visit to Australia last year the two finally finally buried the hatchet.
On Watch What Happens Live, Hannah was asked by a fan, “What is your current relationship with Captain Sandy? And how did you mend things?”
“So Sandy and I had a really good chat when she was in Sydney,” Hannah answered. “She met my daughter and my husband.”
“How long was the chat?” Andy asked.
“Three hours,” Hannah answered. She also confirmed that Sandy was the one who instigated the chat and that she was open to having the conversation.
“I think that enough time had passed,” Hannah said. “I don’t like holding on to grudges and having any bad energy in my body. And Sandy and I, despite what you saw on camera, we actually had something real. And that’s why I was hurt and disappointed. Like, if Malia reached out — I’m good, but with Sandy it was nice to sit down and get to a resolution.”
That seems like a far cry from when Hannah said she and Sandy weren’t friendly at all. I guess that was the hurt talking. Now, Hannah said she FaceTimes with Sandy and they even have appearances coming up. Guess it’s all water under the bridge now.
