Season 15 of The Real Housewives of New York was messy and dark. Much of the drama centered around Brynn Whitfield and her heated clash with her friend Ubah Hassan. There wasn’t much resolution at the RHONY reunion, and the spectacle turned viewers off. In the end, most of the cast believed that Brynn lied about her conflict with Ubah. So, what do her former co-stars think about Brynn’s exit?
A report suggests the RHONY cast are “elated” Brynn Whitfield left the show
“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to walk away from reality TV. For now,” Brynn wrote via her Instagram Story. “The Real Housewives of New York City will always be one of the most fun, chaotic, and magical chapters of my life.” Brynn departed to focus on the dating app that she created, Hoppy.
Meanwhile, it seems like her RHONY co-stars aren’t sobbing into their cryangles over her exit. “The cast has largely distanced themselves from Brynn, and it was a relief for all of the ladies to hear that she will not be returning,” a source told Page Six. “Whether or not any of the girls get to hang on to their apples, they’re elated that Brynn has dropped hers.” Plus, the insider added, “Honestly, they’d be scared to film with her again after the mess she made last season.”
Further, reps for Brynn and Bravo did not return Page Six’s request for comment.
In addition, RHONY was paused, leading to concerns that the show was canceled. However, Andy Cohen confirmed that Bravo executives met with several potential RHONY candidates. “This is called the casting process between seasons, and it’s heavily underway,” Andy said.
While we don’t know who, if anyone, from the rebooted cast will keep their apple, we know that Brynn won’t be in the mix.
The Real Housewives of New York is now streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
