Tori Spelling is receiving heavy criticism for sharing footage from their podcast interview with Gypsy Rose Blanchard. The actress had posted the clip on Instagram describing it as a deep conversation from which listeners might learn things they never really knew about Blanchard’s contentious past. Instead of any praise, the comment section exploded with criticism, skepticism, and outright anger from the people who felt that Spelling did not do her homework before sitting down with Blanchard.

Here, in this snippet, Spelling employs Barbara Walters’ investigative style in delving deeply into the tangled past that Ms. Blanchard claims to have undergone with medical abuse at the hands of her now-deceased mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, and, really, all there is to be said after the mother’s murder in 2015. Since serving time for her role in the killing, Gypsy has set about telling her side of the story since being freed from prison. Not everyone is buying it.
“Tori u need to do research on gypsy she lies & contradicted herself so many times, now she is claiming her mom bullied her she doesn’t say anything in her book please do research on her before u start loosing followers.” Another user flatly said this was a “bad move,” saying that Blanchard “never told the truth and never will.”
Skepticism continued. Others named medical records and FOIA documents that they say contradict Blanchard’s claims of abuse. One very angry poster responded, “Do you actually believe her? All she does is spread lies and we have access to the medical documents and foias that show the actual truth! It extremely harmful to put someone like her up on a pedestal.” Oof.
Then came the counterspeech in terms of medical evidence. “Her LEGITIMATE medical issues which warranted the LEGITIMATE medical procedures she had,” commented a user sneaking in their viewpoint. “More importantly, the condition NEGATES her abuse claims. Her mother was a grifter. She was NOT an abuser and she didn’t deserve to be slaughtered in her sleep by her spoiled, entitled kid. Wake up.”
Other comments accused Blanchard of manipulating the “autistic dude” convicted of killing Dee Dee, whom she “recruited” into the murder. Another accused Blanchard of feeding the mother-killer a brownie after the murder. Yikes.

Definitely some busied up the drama. Tori Spelling is certainly at the center of it all.
