What Has Below Deck Chef Anthony Iracane Been Doing Since Season 11?

Chef Anthony Iracane struggled in the galley during Season 11 of Below Deck, which resulted in his early exit from filming. Now airing is Season 12. Here, a different chef is already quitting only two episodes into filming. Therefore, Anthony is stepping back into his former role, hoping to gain his redemption season on Below Deck.

Lawrence Snowden is highly skilled. However, the stressors of filming were more than he was willing to bear. So, Lawrence made the call to leave filming, which cracked the door wide open for Anthony to walk right back through.

Now that Anthony is back on our screens, we need to look back at his time spent filming for Season 11. Because, as Season 12 teases, he and Fraser Olender will once again be at odds. This narrative stinks, as Fraser is the one who asked for Anthony to return. But what happened to Anthony after he exited Season 11 early? And what can we expect to see from Anthony once he resumes his role in the galley? We will tell you everything we know now.

Anthony, AKA Frenchie, was an ego-free chef during Below Deck Season 11. He cared about his guests and his craft. He also made friends within his crew, making us all feel relieved that this series seemingly found a rare chill chef. But, as Season 11 progressed, Anthony began to falter in the galley.

To his credit, Anthony produced stunning plates that his guests mostly loved. However, his timing was off. This aspect started creating delays for his awaiting, hungry guests. Once these guests started feeling weary, numerous complaints sounded, which Captain Kerry Titheradge could not ignore.

Not helping matters, Anthony also failed to read preference sheets carefully, which meant his dishes did not always cater to prescribed dietary restrictions. Then, Anthony forgot to make a lobster and cheese snack for his primary, which likely led to their small tip left. Annoyed, Fraser took to his confessional, lamenting about Anthony.

His lack of attention was “not just affecting my team. It is affecting the boat, and I know this tip is going to be sh*t. Most of my time at the moment is spent with Chef, begging him to do his job correctly and keeping him in line. There is no space for me to be looking after him as much as I am. I don’t have time for that,” Fraser stressed.

Several beats later, Captain Kerry sent Anthony home.

After filming Below Deck Season 11, chef Anthony Iracane continued working on yachts while making headway on a new culinary-themed business plan

Following his early exit from Below Deck Season 11, Anthony jumped on other vessels, continuing to build his resume in the yachting industry. On Instagram, Anthony posted a collab with Worldwide Boat, which promoted an upcoming charter he was working on. In this shared video, Anthony gave his followers a tour of his new galley, as Worldwide Boat penned that guests can expect Anthony to “dazzle [them] with a personalized culinary show for every meal course” served.

When we last saw Anthony, Captain Kerry was encouraging him to gain more experience in this industry while perfecting his craft. As this post proved, Anthony did as instructed.

Despite his hands being busy on superyachts, Anthony has also spent his days honing a new culinary-themed business, Snacky Bae. According to the official Instagram for this enterprise, Snack Bae is a “French Sweet boutique” that is coming soon in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Described only as a “dessert shop,” Anthony lists himself as the founder on his personal Instagram account. We hope to hear more about this new venture once Anthony steps his little Frenchie self back on board Below Deck for Season 12.

When Captain Kerry cut Anthony loose in Season 11, Anthony was confused. He made mistakes, yes, he admitted. However, most people thought he did well, at least to his face. So, were people talking sh*t about him behind his back, he wondered?

While filming, he and Fraser were close. But Fraser had many confessional-styled comments to make about Anthony, including his final thought, claiming he will “love that boy forever. But right now, the job is more important, and he is not right for the job.”

Over a year has passed. Now, Anthony has improved his game, as he stressed with Captain Kerry. Captain Kerry feels hopeful, with a side of anxiety, about whether or not his claim is accurate.

After filming Below Deck Season 11, Anthony (seemingly) watched this season as it aired. Because when he came back for Season 12, Anthony made it clear that he needed to have a conversation with Fraser, who “betrayed” him last season. Luckily for Anthony, he and Fraser will share a cabin, at least until Lawrence vacates their yacht following Anthony’s first full day of charter. Unluckily for Fraser and Anthony, the final few moments of Episode 2 jump forward in time, showing a heated confrontation between these two colleagues only 16 days after Anthony returns to the galley.

Only time will tell why these two boys will soon be at odds as Below Deck Season 12 progresses.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock. The show can also be streamed on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
