HGTV recently pulled the plug on their hit series after four seasons, and the show has now been nominated for a prestigious award.

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, who claim HGTV canceled their show, Married to Real Estate, while they were on vacation, have now revealed news about the EMMY nomination.

Egypt took to Instagram to announce that Married to Real Estate has been nominated for the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Instructional/How-To-Program category. Egypt captioned the post, “Be Still…. And watch the fireworks.” Her comments section on the post was full of fans and friends cheering for her and Mike and letting them know they deserve the Emmy nod.

Meanwhile, there are HGTV viewers, such as CharacterRich3158, who are shocked by Married to Real Estate, which was canceled last week by HGTV, getting nominated for an Emmy. “I guess it’s safe to say they’ll be back on HGTV after all,” the fan added after admitting that they’re now wondering if it was a publicity stunt to raise the ratings for the shows, since these HGTV series are all that reality TV fans are talking about lately.
