The war of words between Denise Richards and her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, is heating up. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum requested and was granted a temporary restraining order against Aaron. In court papers, Denise alleged that Aaron has been emotionally and physically abusive throughout their marriage.
Aaron filed for divorce on July 7, 2025. For his part, Aaron has denied Denise’s allegations of abuse. Recently, Aaron reportedly sent a letter to Denise’s friends and family. He claimed that the actress needs help and some type of intervention.
Denise Richards claims Aaron Phypers has “continued to harass” her amid divorce
Brett Berman, Denise’s attorney, issued a statement to US Weekly. “In addition to the repeated abuse perpetrated by Mr. Phypers against Ms. Richards throughout the parties’ marriage, Mr. Phypers has continued to harass Ms. Richards since being served with the Temporary Restraining Order by, among other things, disseminating private information from Ms. Richards’ cell phone and laptop, which he stole,” the statement read.
Further, “These actions continue to disturb Ms. Richards’ peace. We have warned Mr. Phypers in writing not to disseminate any information from Ms. Richards’ stolen cell phone and laptop, but he continues to do so. Ms. Richards will not be responding to Mr. Phypers’ false allegations in a public forum and will be addressing Mr. Phypers’ abuse in Court,” the attorney added.
Meanwhile, Aaron accused Denise of having an affair. He allegedly found the incriminating information on her laptop earlier this year. The duo worked on their marriage until an argument during the 4th of July weekend led to Aaron filing for divorce.
US Weekly reached out to reps for both Aaron and Denise for comment, but did not hear back.
