It’s True, Marvel Quietly Admits Two MCU Heroes Are More Than Just Friends

Marvel has confirmed that two MCU icons are officially a secret couple, with a new story that depicts Thor and She-Hulk are rekindling their fan-favorite romance. The Jade Giantess and the God of Thunder have an undefined romantic past, but Marvel is setting the stage to revive this forgotten couple.

Spider-Man vs the Sinister Sixteen #1, by the creative team of J. Michael Straczynski and Phil Noto, features Peter Parker and Mare Jane running into She-Hulk and Thor at an upscale NYC restaurant.

MJ asks if the Avengers are dating, and they can’t get their story straight, until She-Hulk admits Thor is “consoling her” after a prior romance’s troubling end.

Thor and She-Hulk did have a brief relationship, which was made official in Empyre: Fallout Fantastic Four #1; the two shared a kiss, and later disclosed their relationship to the Avengers. However, their relationship slipped into obscurity and was never mentioned again ,as She-Hulk would go on to date Jack of Hearts in her latest solo series.

Later, when Thor comes face-to-face with She-Hulk’s current boyfriend, Jack of Hearts, he is incredibly uncomfortable. Whether Thor’s reaction is out of embarrassment or guilt, it is unmistakable that the God of Thunder still has feelings for She-Hulk.
