Jax Taylor Quitting His Bar Partnership was Last Ditch Attempt

If there’s one thing Jax Taylor knows how to do, it’s torch a bridge and act like he’s building an empire. The former Vanderpump Rules villain-turned-The Valley cast member made headlines this week for walking away from his new sports bar venture. You know the one he hyped up like it was the second coming of SUR. But this wasn’t a business decision. This was damage control.

With his marriage to Brittany Cartwright on the rocks and his behavior on The Valley spiraling from messy to downright delusional, Jax’s sudden exit from the bar he co-founded isn’t a bold move. It’s an attempt to rewrite the narrative before the internet makes up its mind for him. Again.

Jax Taylor is leaving The Valley, and his bar partnership in the dust

Jax’s decision to step away from his bar partnership with Jax’s Studio City (yes, that’s the actual name) was announced with all the bravado of a man who thinks he’s still in control. He claimed it was the best decision for everyone involved and said he wants to focus on family and personal growth. Let’s pause for a second. This is the same Jax who spent Season 2 of The Valley gaslighting Brittany, denying any wrongdoing, and acting like he was still king of the West Hollywood nightlife scene. Now suddenly he’s too Zen for bottle service?

In an Instagram Story, Jax wrote, “I’ve made the decision to end my partnership with Jax’s,” he wrote. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health, and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I’ve set for myself and the life I’m working towards.” The truth is, his bar wasn’t exactly thriving. Reviews were mixed, the vibe was chaotic, and the launch was overshadowed by the implosion of his marriage. And with Brittany distancing herself both personally and professionally, it’s not hard to connect the dots. Leaving the bar is less about growth and more about his partners distancing themselves from a sinking ship before it all goes to hell in a handbasket.

Jax’s bar should be rebranded with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright

If there’s one person who could salvage the wreckage of this bar venture, it’s Brittany. Let’s be real: Brittany has been one of the most relatable parts of The Valley. She’s been open about her struggles, stood up to Jax’s nonsense, and even managed to maintain friendships within the cast while navigating a crumbling marriage on camera. If Jax’s Studio City wants a fighting chance at survival, it should drop Jax’s name and rebrand entirely, with Brittany at the helm. A Kentucky-inspired bar with Southern charm, women-led management, and zero Jax drama? Sign us up.

Bravo fans are already rooting for Brittany to glow up post-divorce, especially after part one of the reunion. Why not turn the bar into her comeback vehicle? Give us “Cartwright’s” with bourbon flights, hot chicken sliders, and a weekly Jax-free karaoke night. Now that’s a business plan.

Did Jax get fired from The Valley?

Here’s the question that’s quietly making the rounds in every Bravo household: Did Jax really step away from The Valley, or was he shown the door? So far, Bravo hasn’t confirmed on their side, but Jax has made the decision to step away from the cameras. In a statement, Jax said, “After an incredibly challenging year. And many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley. Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself.”

But frankly, long-time fans are not buying it. For a while now, there have been tensions between Jax and the cast. Part one of the reunion showed emotions reaching a boiling point. Let’s not forget: Jax was already fired once from Vanderpump Rules. He’s not exactly known for his professionalism or self-awareness. If Bravo thought they were getting a changed man for this spin-off, they were in for a rude awakening. And now, with him exiting his bar it feels like he’s trying to spin the narrative as if he’s in control. But walking away from the mess you made doesn’t make you evolved—it just makes you predictable.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
