Pastor Keion Henderson dropped some deep stuff that was bound to get one thinking about suffering, purpose, and why God would ever choose to bring pain into our lives. Needless to say, the thought has struck a chord! The clergyman also released this clip from one of his sermons With a Lowered to Lifted about the timeless issue of struggles working as a vehicle of elevation if one accepts it.

Henderson keeps it simple: “Why does God let us suffer? Because suffering peels away performance.” He elaborated: “When life knocks you down, that’s when you begin to question relationships, careers, and, more importantly, the purpose of those things that truly matter. God isn’t lowering you to leave you; He’s lowering you to lift you.” It is pretty much the process of sometimes having to go through it to get to it. And that pain? Maybe it never really goes away, but your strength shines THROUGH it.
The comment section turned into a full-blown prayer meeting in evidence. One comments section participant went before the Lord with the following: “Lord please take the health pain and suffering away, it’s been too long.” Another participant echoed with, “Amen, in pain I still have power,” a perfect summary of Henderson’s message. From then on, dozens chimed in with, “I needed this today,” one of which was, “I just broke down going through so much with no one to talk to but God.”
Not everybody was down for the spiritual vibes, though. A random hater appeared with, “Your wife is dead wrong!!!!” which… okay? Came out of nowhere, that did. Then somebody else was all prayer warrior mode, with a request of healing, strength from hexes, and protection (yes, hexes).
Crazy fast was everyone after just a clip, wanting to watch the entire sermon. “Yeah, I need to see this whole video. Is it on YouTube yet?” asked the eager watcher. Spoiler alert: It is! Henderson has a reason for pushing his YouTube channel KeionHendersonTV because DOH is exactly that kind of content that goes viral in religious circles.
The timing of this message hits differently, shall we say? With so many people fighting through health issues, financial stress, and general life chaos in 2024, Henderson’s words about finding purpose in pain so resonate with people on a HARD level. Among the hundreds of comments, there was love from international lands, with one shining comment reading, “Amen nice message love from India.”
And then there were these… interesting comments on electric cars and strawberries that made absolutely no sense here. Gotta love random Instagram spam bots crashing serious conversations with utter nonsense about Tesla alternatives.

In a nutshell: Henderson is trying to say that inspiration would never deny your pain; it simply reminds you that you have such power within and because of it. Whether you believe in God or not, that shift in perception is worthy of paying attention to whenever life gets heavy.
