The undercurrent of simple joys got a speck of magic sprinkled on it, by Minka Kelly. She shared a passing moment she called “a moment of 🦋 delight,” but the followers therefore ended wondering what exactly made her so merry. Almost as sparse as words could go, but like they say, less can be more.

There aren’t many words to explain the video attached, though. There is someone off behind saying “boo,” perhaps teasing her or some strange inside joke between friends. And either way, it fits that spirit of goofiness so well. Minka had always been a real person and grounded, and this post carries that spirit.

Then, there is one that sticks out almost taller than the rest: “Dan and you in another universe 🦋.” What’s interesting about it is the possibility of how maybe, it’s kind of suggesting something deeper, perhaps referencing a past romance or in-joke about a fictional pairing that fans adored. Minka never replied; therefore, it is left for speculation and thought, however, such a comment surely stimulates the thought: “Hmm? What is this about?”

Minka’s social media was always about being genuine. Whether she is giving insight into her personal life, sharing a promotion, or simply posting one of those random smile-inducing updates, it must feel real for her. This latest post is one of those little moments—that in some small way—feels really genuine.
And honestly, it feels kind of refreshing to see somebody be so basic in an area where social media feels overly sanitized. A butterfly, a goofy sound, a fleeting moment of happiness: that’s sometimes all the foreign depression requires.

Where will Minka go from here? God only knows. But if these last few days say anything, finding joy in the little things is where she locates it, and well, that’s a vibe worth keeping.
