TUI makes check-in change for passengers flying from these UK airports | Travel News | Travel

TUI passengers flying from seven major UK airports with certain flight numbers can take advantage of a unique check-in service that saves valuable time on the morning of travel.

The airline offers a day-before bag drop service at select airportsacross the country which allows passengers to check in their luggage the day before they are due to fly. Passengers normally have to queue up at check-in desks on arrival at the airport to get their boarding passes and drop off their bags, but this process can now all be done the night before to make the morning a breeze.

To take advantage of this service, TUI passengers must have either a TOM or BY flight number and have a departure time before midday. But the service is only available at seven UK airports, so it will also depend where you are flying from as to whether you can take advantage of the early check-in.

TUI offers the day-before bag drop at all of these seven airports during the following times for passengers with flight times before midday:

Birmingham Airport

• Bags can be dropped off between 2pm and 9pm

Bristol Airport

• Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 9pm

East Midlands Airport

• Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 9pm

Gatwick Airport – North Terminal

• Bags can be dropped off between 2pm and 9pm

Gatwick Airport – South Terminal 

• Bags can be dropped off between 2pm and 9pm

Glasgow Airport

• Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 9pm

Manchester Airport – from Terminal 2

• Bags can be dropped off between 2pm and 9pm

Newcastle Airport

• Bags can be dropped off between 4pm and 9pm

TUI said: “If your flight has a TOM or BY flight number, your flight time is eligible, and you’re flying from one of the airports listed below before midday, you can check your bags in on the day before you’re due to fly. You can save even more time by checking in online beforehand.

“If you’re joining one of our Marella cruise ships, day-before bag drop is available for all destinations. The following airports, apart from Newcastle and Gatwick, offer either free or discounted parking if you’re only staying for a short time.

“Just so you know, this service isn’t available for P&O Cruise flights. IMPORTANT – You will need to bring your passport and documents to use the ‘Day-before bag drop’ service.”
