NBC’s Destination X brought 12 players on a whirlwind tour of Europe. The only hitch? Contestants were blindfolded and traveled in a bus with blacked-out windows. The players competed in challenges to win clues to each week’s destination. The player who placed their mark on the map furthest from the destination was eliminated.
Three players advanced to the finale: Biggy Baliey, Rick Szabo, and Bachelor alum Peter Weber. The finale found the trio in London. Rick was in an alliance with Biggy and had a secret alliance with Peter. The finale was messy, just the way host Jeffrey Dean Morgan likes it.
But who went all the way and won Destination X?

Rick Szabo won Destination X and the $250,000 prize.
Rick, who is an international bird watcher with a passion for international travel, advanced to the finale with Peter. They worked independently to solve riddles in London. The answer to each riddle was an iconic London destination. If the players picked the correct location, a clue box and the next riddle were waiting for them. Oh, and they only had four hours to complete the entire mission.
There were three riddles, and both Peter and Rick claimed all three clue boxes. The final three clues were a photo of Queen Elizabeth, a hundred-dollar bill, and a picture of an hourglass. One player would arrive at their destination X to find a case with $250K in cash, while the other would find an empty case. Peter selected The Tower of London, while Rick chose Big Ben.
When Rick arrived at Big Ben, he was brought inside the actual clock tower, and his case was filled with cash. Rick plans to use the prize money to help his family. They had to sell their home after they fell on hard times during the pandemic. Rick was the most cunning, intelligent, and savvy player on Jeffrey’s crazy mystery tour. He deserved the win.
