Amy Childs gave a look at the utterly chaotic and cute toddler-parenting world. Comedy gold, really. The former star of The Only Way Is Essex posted a video on Instagram where her own little girl refused to call her “Mommy” and insisted on using Amy’s name instead. And honestly? The recording shows Amy on the brink of begging to coax her daughter into calling her “Mommy.” Defiantly adorable, the toddler-neck-in-neck says “Amy!”, every single time. Amy asks, “What’s my name?” and comes the answer: “Mommy.” No way. The kid won’t go with it. “Amy,” babbles the little one, as if there had never been a question about it. The video cuts away to Amy laughing in total frustration, with the following caption: “SOUND ON 🤣🤣 keeps on calling me Amy 😭 Like butter wouldn’t melt 🤦🏼♀️ Honestly, she’s been bloody tough already this holiday 🤣 why are girls so independent!! The clip went viral, with fans laughing to tears as they began to tell their own horror stories of parenting. Funny or not, this is one universal parental problem here. But another mom opened about her lesser-experienced time: “My daughter (who is now 10!) when she was 2 only called me by my name as well. We were in B&Q when she asked her dad, ‘Where’s Katie, daddy where’s Katie?’ I was so embarrassed🫣 My other half had to start calling me mummy until she stopped 😂😂.”
