JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez’s split didn’t come out of nowhere. In fact, fans could see the writing on the wall for the Love Island USA couple during their interactions in Love Island: Beyond the Villa. After all, it’s probably not a good sign when you think your boyfriend gives off “serial killer vibes.”
JaNa and Kenny met on the sixth season of the popular dating show. For a time, it seemed like they may have found love. Despite living in different states, the couple made it work. However, it blew up and the couple called it quits.

JaNa and Kenny’s split has been the cause of a lot of speculation. But looking back at it now, it appears tension was already in the air. And on their nine-month anniversary date on Beyond the Villa, things got pretty uncomfortable when the topic of living together came up.
The pair were having dinner when Kenny told JaNa that he had mentioned being okay with living separately from her to Miguel Harichi. Things went pretty downhill from there and JaNa was not digging the vibe. She spoke with Leah Kateb and Serena Page after the date and described what happened.
“He just gave me straight eye contact, like he just locked in,” JaNa said. “It looked like he was giving me serial killer vibes.” I don’t claim to be a relationship expert, but when your partner reminds you of a serial killer it’s probably not going to work.
Apparently shutting down is something Kenny does when overwhelmed. He apologized to JaNa for his reaction but the real problem remained. JaNa wanted to live together, Kenny did not. And this was likely a central pain point of their relationship.
When the question of marriage came up, Leah and Serena said they would confidently marry their current beaus. JaNa said she wanted to get married but Kenny didn’t have a timeline for making that commitment. Ouch.
All of this could have contributed to their eventual demise. However, there’s got to be more to it. The mass unfollowing of Kenny on social media is very telling. There are also rumors about his damaging text messages. Not to mention, JaNa called the split disgusting. There is definitely more to it.
I wonder if we’ll be getting the full story any time soon?
