Man thinks he booked ‘best seats on plane’ for TV star but makes error | Travel News | Travel

It’s always exciting going on holiday, and once you’re in that plane seat you can look out of the window and dream of what you’re going to get up to when you arrive. However, many unfortunately get nervous while flying, plus the squeezed legroom, or hours of sitting down can be uncomfortable. Some passengers book an extra leg room seat, or book a seat near the front of the plane if they are a nervous flyer or want to be one of the first people to get off the plane after landing.

Star of the Real Housewives of Dubai and Ladies of London, Caroline Stanbury, was left in stitches of laughter when she asked her husband to book her seats on a flight to Tanzania. Her husband, Sergio, told her they had “the best seats” on a flight with Precision Air recently, but they soon came to realise their seats were not as expected.

The duo read on their boarding card that they were book in seats 1A and 1B, so they suspected they would be right at the front of the plane. Not only does this mean they would get food and drink service first, but they could stretch their legs out and get off the plane first.

However, the pair were sadly mistaken.

In a video shared on TikTok, Caroline, who jokingly refered to her partner as her ‘assistant’, said: “When your assistant booked 1A/1B and you thought they were the best seats on the plane.” They soon realised that “nothing goes back” behind their seats, and they were facing all of the other passengers in the cabin.

The video shows all the passengers glaring at them as they face forward, and behind their seats there is a storage unit.

The video clip, shared by Caroline, has raked in one million views people rushed to comment. One said: “I couldn’t sit there, my anxiety, just no.” “Omg I would have hated that,” insisted one other.

One other who has also made the same error said: “I made the same mistake – I was fast to get off anyway.” One other who can relate added: “I’ve sat there before. I got such bad motion sickness.”

“At least it’s great people watching,” joked one individual. “Are they making you collect the drink orders?,” jokingly questioned one other.

Front-facing seats are standard on most Precision Air aircrafts; the airline’s current fleet consists of, five 70 seater ATR 72-500, three 48 seater ATR 42-500 and one 48 seater ATR 42-600.

According to ATR Aircraft’s website, the 42-600 and 42-500 have two seats at the front of the plane facing the rest of the cabin. This means four of the planes in their fleet are positioned in this manner. So if you fly on a Precision Air plane, you too could end up facing every one else on the plane for the duration of your flight.

Would you enjoy being sat in these seats for a flight? Comment below.
