Ray J never backs down when there is trouble, especially if his legs are giving him a hard time! Today, the singer and reality star posted an Instagram video mocking the viewer challenges of attempting Chris Brown’s latest dance challenge. In other words: it was an utter disaster.

Ray J enters on-camera, dramatically dropping his jacket as if preparing for a fight, then promptly executes a full 180. “BRO NOOOO BRO WHY?,” he laughs, explaining that his legs were hurting too much to do that. “Y’all really challenging me? How does one of these really put up?” he asks, as if sincerely confused by the choreography.
The video showing Ray J half-heartedly trying before opting out with laughter-loosener had everyone cracking up. One viewer said jokingly, “You took that jacket off like you were about to do it right now… but your leg hurt. I can’t with Ray J.” Another commented: “This man is unhinged 😂😂😂.”
There is also some history between Ray J and Chris Brown, making the icing on the cake. Somewhere amidst this madness, there’s an account of how almost before the show, the two were about to have a dance battle of sorts, and Chris just backed out midway upon seeing Ray’s moves. “Chris saw what I was doing and was like, ‘Nah, I’m good bro,’” he grinned.
Fans poured their hearts out for Ray J’s chaotic energy: “Y’all could never make me hate Ray J,” one fan declared; “He’s naturally funny… I know it’s fun kicking it with him,” said another. Another fan even paid homage to Ray’s “creased Air Forces”: “He can’t dance OR fight, but I love this man’s shoes.”
And so that was a strife-ridden progress of which Ray J promised to keep working through, saying to the fans, “stay tuned.” If he actually does, it will surely remain to be seen, but, alongside that, he already has comedic timing for days.
Theoretical Ray J moment right here, perfectly mixing confidence and self-deprecation for pure entertainment. Really, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
