With an area of just 62 square miles, it’s one of the world’s smallest nations but despite its size, its beauty makes for an incredible holiday. Liechtenstein is a hidden gem in Europe and a destination people often neglect to visit. Its capital, Vaduz, is home to the royal family and it offers a glimpse into the country’s unique blend of modernity and tradition. The scenic country is home to alpine landscapes, medieval castles and a vibrant cultural scene.

One must visit place is Vaduz Castle which is visible from far and wide. The castle was first built some 700 years ago and is a popular spot for tourists to visit.

“We drove the car up past the castle and parked just above it. From there we got great pictures of the castle with the snow-topped Alps in the background.”
