Below Deck Season 12 Episode 16 Recap

Welcome back, one last time! This concluding week on Below Deck Season 12 Episode 16, we learn the fate of Anthony and his multi-course meal. Last week, this detailed dinner service threatened to undo all of his hard work in the galley. Meanwhile, the crew says goodbye to their home away from home. But will they all leave on a happy note? Here is everything that happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 16, “Over the Rainbeau.”

What happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 16?

As the crew winds down with their last charter guests of this season, tempers flare. Now, it is up to those who care to either mend their relationships or not. As a result, certain yachties leave on a solid note. Meanwhile, others are likely to never speak with each other ever again.

Sitting in front of greenscreens, several crew members note how difficult this season has been. In the background, Flashbacks air, noting every major storyline thus far. Then, we return to the galley, where less than half an hour remains until dinner service begins. Captain Kerry is joining the guests at their table, and that, paired with the number of dishes and attached dietary restrictions, has Anthony on edge.

Dressed in fire and ice hues, everyone takes their seats. As the guests enjoy their first course, Jess and Bárbara hash out their post-filming plans. Bárbara admits that she still feels confused about their future.

Back at the table, additional courses arrive, alternating between fire and ice themes, complete with actual fire, smoke, and ice-filled dishes. Everyone is beyond impressed with Anthony. In a sweet joint confessional, Fraser asks Anthony why he doubts himself. Anthony responds, thanking Fraser for pushing him to a higher level this season.

As they hug, Anthony reveals that he’d enjoy working several additional seasons with Fraser, “I’m sorry. I’m busy on that day,” Fraser jokes.

Solène crawls into a bunk with Kyle for a quick make-out break. When Fraser makes an all-call for their fireworks show, everyone heads to the sundeck. As his eyes water, Fraser notes how proud he is. He did not fire anyone, and for that, he “passed” this season.

Captain Kerry praises Anthony. Perhaps, another season featuring this galley-based hero is not out of the question after all.

As various crew members head to bed, Damo joins their all-female charter guests outside. They adore Damo. In the crew mess, Rainbeau writes their last late-night to-do list on the whiteboard. But in her confessional, Solène states that it is her final night, so she wants to have fun instead.

Solène pours herself a glass of wine. She then drinks from a tumble of booze, followed by another taste of a drink with their guests. “What the f*ck?” Rainbeau sighs as flashbacks air, recalling their struggles.

The guests go to bed. Solène stays outside, flirting with Damo. Rainbeau interrupts, asking them to pause their antics because she needs help in the interior. After, Solène drinks another drink, which she found near the hot tub.

Rainbeau scolds Solène. Solène does not care. “F*ck you, bro,” Rainbeau says. Solène laughs, but as Rainbeau grows even more heated, she apologizes, but still messes with Rainbeau, telling her that she does not need to “be pink like that” in the face.

Leaving the scene, Rainbeau sends Fraser many texts, telling him how awful this night was. Rainbeau hopes that Fraser might still fire Solène.

Fraser awakens to these texts. After sighing and labeling this mess as “so stupid,” he groans over her “three-page letter,” asking from his confessional, what does Rainbeau expect him to do on their final day of charter? “No one is getting fired on drop-off day,” he explains.

The deck team prepares to cross through their treacherous bridge one final time. They clear it, alongside their last docking, with ease. Captain Kerry feels “tickled pink” by the exterior team this season.

Fraser hugs an energetic Rainbeau, apologizing for her rough night. After learning that Solène is still in bed, he grows annoyed, sending Bárbara downstairs to wake her up. The guests depart, leaving an impressive tip of $28,000.

Captain Kerry tells his thrilled crew that he is taking them to a fort to celebrate. At the fort, Fraser admits that Anthony is the only chef he wants to work with moving forward. They cuddle and joke in their shared confessional once more, making this writer all-in on this duo.

The crew heads out for their night on the town. Jess and Bárbara talk about their future. Bárbara admits that long-distance relationships are not her bag, due to her trust issues. Jess understands.

Kyle and Solène also discuss their future. Kyle would like to see her again, he admits. Solène, however, tells him no, noting that she prefers to live in the present. “I’ve got no regrets,” Kyle states in his talking head.

At the club, everyone makes out with everyone. But when Solène and Damo start getting hot and heavy, Kyle hates it. “I pick the wrong women all the time,” he suggests.

Jess and Bárbara spend the night in a guest cabin. On the pier, Solène and Damo kiss. From his bunk, Kyle sends Solène a text, admonishing her for playing him this season. But when Solène responds, asking Kyle to meet her in another guest cabin, he folds.

In the morning, Solène pulls Rainbeau aside. Solène apologizes, but Rainbeau does not. Solène rescinds her apology. The crew departs, bringing Below Deck Season 12 to an end.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
