The next chapter of the Yellowstone franchise has added another major star to its stacked ensemble. Following the events of the series finale, the next spinoff sees Beth (Reilly) and Rip (Hauser) continue their lives and encounter new allies and enemies, one of whom will be played by a fan-favorite from the DC Universe.
According to Variety, Jai Courtney has joined the cast of The Dutton Ranch, which stars Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Finn Little, Annette Bening, and Ed Harris. Courtney is best known for his work in the superhero genre as Captain Boomerang, appearing in both Suicide Squad films. Recently, the actor made waves for his villain performance in the bloody shark thriller Dangerous Animals. As reported by Variety, Courtney will portray Rob-Will, officially described as “an imposing, unpredictable ranch foreman.”
As the most direct follow-up to the original Yellowstone series, The Dutton Ranch takes place after the series finale and features two of its most prominent characters. However, prepare to meet plenty of new faces, two of whom will be played by a pair of Oscar-nominated actors. Bening portrays Beulah Jackson, “the powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas,” while Harris has been cast as Everett McKinney, described as “a weathered veteran and veterinarian who treats animals with compassion and understanding and has a good sense of humor.” Read the show’s official synopsis:
