Welcome to The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 11 recap. Last time, Tamra attempted to move her relationships with Jenn and Shannon forward during a trip to Temecula, California. However, she clashed with both of them. Meanwhile, Heather treated Emily and Gretchen to a luxe sleepover. Here’s what happened in RHOC Season 19 Episode 11: “Loose Lips Sink Trips.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 11?
After a night of dancing at The Abbey, Gretchen dropped some racy gossip about Tamra. And after having some fun together, Tamra once again ruined the vibe with the group. She revealed a secret about Shannon’s father, putting her attempts at a rekindled friendship back on pause.
Tamra asks Shannon how to repair their relationship
Gina explained to Shannon that she worried about Shannon’s drinking and that she would slide back into a bad place. “That was born out of something I didn’t like that you did,” Gina told Tamra. “I didn’t like that you sh*t on her all last year, and now you’re taking her away for sneaky drinks.”
Cue the flashback of Tamra explaining to Gina that “having a cocktail” is Shannon’s “love language.” Come on, Tamra. After calling her an alcoholic all last season?
Finally, Tamra asked Shannon what she needed to do to improve their situation. And Shannon had a simple answer. She just wants “time” to heal from last season’s events. Still, she thanked Tamra for making an effort to improve their relationship.
After dinner, Tamra gave everyone oversized shirts with bikinis printed on them and floral synchronized swimming hats. The group decided to hit the hot tub. And Gina brought along a special vacation joint to share. It was fun seeing the ladies having fun and letting loose. Gina, who is California sober, tried to get Shannon to enjoy some weed, but she declined because of the cough she has had since 2008.
Tamra jumped over the line in RHOC
The next morning, Shannon was making breakfast. When Jenn asked Gina if she and her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, would ever walk down the aisle, Gina responded, “Probably. Maybe. I don’t know.” Travis has an upcoming court date, and he is trying to get full custody of his kids. “This toxicity always finds its way into our relationship,” Gina explained in her confessional.
Meanwhile, the ladies worried that Shannon is lonely now that her children have moved out. “I grew up in a bit of chaos. It was a tumultuous marriage,” Shannon told her RHOC co-stars. Then Tamra asked about Shannon’s elderly father having “a drinking problem” when Shannon was growing up.
As you can imagine, Shannon was not happy. She responded that her “dad is f*cking 96 years old.” Oof. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think that private conversation would be brought up on camera,” Shannon said in her confessional. “How dare she?”
After Shannon started to cry, Tamra asked if she had discussed it in therapy. “If this stuff is buried, it comes out,” Tamra said. Welp, Shannon started to get heated, explaining that she had been dealing with her past trauma. An angry Tamra walked away, vowing not to try to move forward with Shannon.
Then, Jenn stated that she felt that Tamra stepped over the line by bringing up that information about Shannon’s father. However, Tamra denied that she was making a dig. “She’s just worried that it’s going to make her look like she has a drinking problem,” Tamra said of Shannon. “I don’t think she cares about her dad.” Yikes!
In her confessional, Tamra stated, “No matter what I do, Shannon’s gonna find fault in me. And I don’t think there’s anything left for me to do.”
Gretchen shares a wild rumor about Tamra
Meanwhile, at dinner, Heather elaborated about her feelings for Tamra. “Was I scared of her before? Yes – because she was mean,” Heather stated. Fancy Pants also shared that she mentioned to Tamra that her public meltdowns reminded Heather of her late father. “There were just random times when my dad would have an explosion, whether we were at a restaurant or on a vacation,” Heather shared in her confessional. “And it was embarrassing, and it was disturbing, and it was upsetting.” Heather feels like this is why she makes excuses for Tamra.
The ladies decided to go dancing at The Abbey. Emily was straddling one of the dancers, and then the trio was dancing onstage with the poles. And yes, Fireball was involved.
While chatting in the car, Gretchen mentioned how she recorded four songs. “Well, Tamra tried to be a singer. I have the audio of her trying to sing in a studio,” Gretchen stated. “It was not very good.” When Heather asked Gretchen to play it, Gretchen refused. When Emily asked when Tamra was in a studio, Gretchen replied, “When she banged (bleep).”
While Heather didn’t know the singer that Tamra allegedly hooked up with, Emily certainly did. And when Heather asked if she was married at the time, Gretchen stayed silent but made a face.
Slade shares more details about Tamra’s alleged affair
Back at Heather’s penthouse, Gretchen and Emily had a pillow fight in Heather’s bedroom. Once again, the topic of Tamra’s vocal stylings came up. According to Gretchen, she has the recording of Tamra singing “because somebody sent it to Slade [Smiley].”
Gretchen FaceTimed her fiancé so that Heather and Emily could hear the song. “The story goes, this was her trying to record a song, and the two of them started messing around, and they forgot they were recording,” Slade said. “This is just what we’ve been told.”
Gretchen explained that she heard the audio of Tamra singing, but someone “played” the sexy audio for Slade. And for some reason, Slade has his own confessional. Why is this happening? “When it comes to Tamra, I’m not really interested in necessarily sharing dirt on Tamra,” Slade explained. “But I am interested in telling the truth.” If you say so.
The next morning, chefs whipped up a gourmet brunch. When Emily asked Gretchen if she and Slade would ever get married, she replied, “Yeah. I would love to.” So, Emily asked if Gretchen and Slade had separate finances, and she confirmed that they did. However, when she revealed that her house is in her name, Heather and Emily got busy trying to determine what Slade pays for. Of course, Gretchen became visibly uncomfortable.
Then, it was time for chair massages. I want Heather to adopt me. When the topic of Tamra and the pop song came up, Gretchen denied saying that Tamra hooked up with a singer.
“I don’t know anything about that,” Gretchen said. “Slade said something about that. I didn’t.” She added, “I would appreciate you guys not saying something to cause issues.” Oh, you can bet that what was discussed at this slumber party won’t stay at this slumber party.
