In her first major campaign following her domestic violence controversy and arrest, Sha’Carri Richardson has modeled for Nike x SKIMS. In the campaign video shared by Kim Kardashian on X (formerly Twitter), she and the others showcase their discipline, dedication, and fitness prowess in SKIMS innerwear and Nike’s sporting gear.
Nike has been sponsoring Richardson for a long time and has her under contract until 2028. Thus, she has modeled for several Nike campaigns in the past, including the Nike Women’s Air Superfly sneaker campaign last year. Meanwhile, the Nike x SKIMS collection goes live on September 26 at 7 AM PT in both online and offline stores.
Additionally, Sha’Carri Richardson shared a series of her photos from the campaign on Instagram. The post was accompanied by the caption, “I feel fierce knowing I can look and feel this good while working hard. NikeSKIMS arrives September 26. @nike @skims.”
According to The Guardian, authorities detained the 25-year-old athlete at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 27 for allegedly attacking and aggressively confronting her partner. Her actions were caught on the airport’s security camera, and she was arrested on the grounds of a fourth-degree domestic violence offense and held in custody for 18 hours.
However, Sha’Carri Richardson’s partner, Christian Coleman, did not press further charges and let the matter go. After some time reflecting on her aggressive behavior, she posted a lengthy apology on Instagram, seeking forgiveness from him and promising to be a better role model in the future.
