Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci have officially confirmed their breakup, as per Page Six. They dated for 2 years. The pair confirmed their split by releasing a joint statement. The statement noted, “It is with much respect and deep care for each other that Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have decided to part ways.” While the news comes as a shock to many fans, reactions have been a mix of concern and support.

Bellucci and Burton collaborated on the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” project, where she portrayed Dolores LaFerve. The couple had a much longer run as friends, though. Their connection deepened after Bellucci honored Burton with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Following that Lumiere Film Festival in Lyon, France, in October of 2022, something changed.
At the time of the acknowledgement of their romance, Monica shared with Elle France, “What can I say…I’m glad I met the man, first of all. It’s one of those encounters that rarely happens in life…I know the man, I love him, and now I’m going to meet the director, another adventure begins. I love Tim. And I have great respect for Tim Burton.”
It’s been reported that their bond was built on deep mutual admiration, but busy schedules and personal obligations led to growing space between the two.
