Green Lantern fans may have to wait a lot longer than expected to see John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) in the next DCU series. Hailing from HBO, Lanterns was primed to be released in the early months of 2026, but it now seems it is poised to premiere after DC Studios’ latest summer blockbuster.
Earlier this month, The Hollywood Reporter released an edition of their Heat Vision newsletter, where it was implied that Lanterns was now expected to release after Supergirl, which hits theaters in June 2026. The Lanterns Podcast reached out to THR for clarification, and the trade outlet confirmed that they now expect the HBO series to come out after the next DCU film.
More to come.
