‘Fast acting’ teeth whitening strips for coffee drinkers now 55p each

As the trend for teeth whitening surges, more individuals are opting for at-home solutions. This Black Friday, Dr Dent is offering a colossal seasonal discount of up to 75% off across their entire site – providing shoppers with an affordable way to achieve results at home for just 55p per whitening session. Established in 2016, Dr Dent’s dentist-approved formula is gentle on enamel, promising a comfortable at-home whitening experience without the sensitivity often associated with traditional bleaching gels, according to the brand.

Instead of peroxide, the product utilises PAP (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid), which the brand asserts oxidises stains at the molecular level – essentially, breaking them down until they’re invisible. Dr Dent also claims that their flagship professional teeth whitening strips can eliminate years of accumulated coffee, wine, and nicotine stains from the comfort of your own sofa in 30 to 60 minutes each day. A single pack contains 42 strips (21 treatments for top and bottom teeth) and costs £19.20 for a one-time purchase, reduced from £28.79.

This equates to roughly 91p per whitening session, although this can be reduced to 55p per session with the brand’s Subscribe and Save monthly plan.

The brand’s purple whitening strips are another option, enhanced with colour-correcting technology that Dr Dent says instantly neutralises yellow tones upon contact for an immediately brighter smile. A single pack of 42 strips costs £24 for a one-time purchase, down from £35.98, reports the Mirror.

The brand also offers a professional teeth whitening kit that utilises LED-activated gel to enhance smiles whilst safeguarding enamel. It’s currently priced at £28.80 for a single purchase, reduced from £43.19.

Alternatively, the Crystal X teeth whitening powder can be used with a toothbrush to diminish stains in just 1 to 2 minutes of brushing, according to the brand. A one-off purchase is priced at £14.40, down from £21.59, in the Black Friday sale.

Customers can unlock additional savings of 40% across the Dr Dent range when they subscribe to monthly deliveries, which could be a cost-effective option for longer-term whitening. These subscriptions are flexible and can easily be paused, skipped, or cancelled online.

There are also complimentary gifts included for multibuys. Two-pack bundles come with free Day and Night Toothpastes, while three-packs include the toothpastes plus a bottle of whitening coconut pulling oil.

Elsewhere, Boots is retailing the Wisdom Intense White teeth whitening strips, which are priced at £26 for a seven-day system. According to the brand, these strips are clinically proven to deliver up to seven shades of whitening in one week, and they’ve been formulated with antibacterial totarol that helps prevent plaque and stains.

On the more affordable side, Superdrug sells its own ProCare purple whitening strips that help neutralise yellow stains and brighten teeth after just one use, as per the brand. They’re priced at £8, down from £15.99, for a pack of 12 strips, which works out to around £1.33 per whitening session.

Nevertheless, shoppers appear delighted with their Dr Dent whitening results. One customer shared their view, stating: “No pain or tingling, which is rare for whitening. Definitely gentle.”

Another commented: “I was sceptical, but results showed fast. I drink coffee daily and had zero sensitivity. The strips stay put and peel off clean. Feels like a smart buy.”

Further buyers provided reviews, with one noting: “The strips arrived quickly, I found them a bit fiddly to use, but I am gradually getting the knack. I’ve used them about five times and my teeth look a bit whiter. It’s early days, but I don’t want a ridiculously fake white teeth effect anyway.”

An additional purchaser remarked: “Easy to apply and use, though I struggled with leaving the strips on for 30 minutes and not having to regularly spit out the purple gel that was forming. They did seem to whiten my teeth a bit though!”

Further customers turned to Trustpilot to share their experiences, where Dr Dent boasts an outstanding 4.5 out of five rating.

One shopper declared: “Brilliant product, saw results after just one use. Would 100% recommend if you haven’t tried it already.”

The Dr Dent Black Friday promotion runs until 23.59pm on November 29.
