The first law of politico-dynamics is power cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred to a stronger entity when the weak poorly defends it.
The Democratic Party of old allowed a Trojan horse — socialists — to enter its walls and refused to fight as it didn’t think it was possible the enemy was coming from within.
The Democratic establishment treated “The Squad” like it was a cute girl-band in Congress that could be controlled until it eventually faded into obscurity.
But accepting the socialist Trojan horse into the party has led to its capture, slaughtering any remnants of political common sense — and the invaders firmly plant their “Mamdani for Mayor” flag in Democratic soil to signal their takeover’s completion.
Gov. Hochul joined mayoral candidate Zohran Mandani, a proud Democratic Socialists of America member, on stage in Flushing, Queens, last week in front of 3,000 supporters.
“I see in him someone who sees a New York that is affordable because we want to live here. We want families to grow here. We want them to prosper. So we need more housing,” Hochul exclaimed. “We need more child care. And it has to be universal. Child care for everyone who wants it.”
And the governor is far from the only prominent establishment figure who’s rallied behind Socialist Mamdani for mayor.
“Zohran Mamdani has relentlessly focused on addressing the affordability crisis and explicitly committed to being a mayor for all New Yorkers, including those who do not support his candidacy,” stated House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
“Voters in New York City demanded change, and, with Zohran’s triumph, we have a direct repudiation of Donald Trump’s politics of tax cuts and authoritarianism,” claimed Manhattan Rep. Jerry Nadler.
The takeover has created a political Stockholm syndrome, with Democrats applauding their socialist conquerors for not executing them and falling in love with their ambitions.
And they refuse to fight back against the communist takeover despite obvious signs of internal domination because they still believe an Orange Man is scarier than the Red Guard.
I considered myself a proud moderate Democrat who stood for commonsense legislation a decade ago, but the party pushed me away because it refused to resist its illogical, so-called progressive wing.
The Democrats couldn’t understand progressivism is the mellow gateway drug that inevitably leads to cocaine communism, hellbent on destroying the party like an ’80s rock band hotel room.
Watching Kathy Hochul join the Mamdani rally, I realized this is a humiliation ritual from the party’s radical elements.
The establishment’s DSA rulers want to show the world you can conquer powerful people without ever needing to draw a sword — just draw an alliance in hatred for an external adversary.
The victors successfully leveraged the Democrats’ loathing of Donald Trump by pushing the lie that the enemy of their enemy is their friend.
The party’s political moderates have folded and given all power to DSA candidates, who hold policy positions incredibly unpopular among most Americans, especially independents.
They’ve doubled down on what no one wants because elitist socialist types, who look down on the needs of Americans who can’t afford to live in a penthouse or obtain a country-club membership, infiltrated them.
The Democrats hold a 60% unfavorable rating, per RealClearPolling — a 30-year low.
The ones steering this sinking ship of a party are aligned with an illogical ideology instead of our national interests, and this negative polling shows how disconnected they’ve become from the American public.
The swooning over Mamdani is the love goggles preventing Democrats from understanding no Republican is as much of a threat as the socialist they’re holding hands with.
The adults in the room now repeat Mamdani’s childish socialist slogans of having free items paid for by a tax base who can move their business and wealth elsewhere and will continue to sell luxury ideas only privileged fools believe in.
Your average rational American can see through Mamdani the used-car salesman and his socialism-laced rhetoric for the lemon New York City is about to be sold.
Former Democrats like me were gaslit when we warned of the party’s cozying with communism as it without hesitation platformed the progressives who emerged from its gifted Trojan horse.
The socialists previously denied and minimized their ambitions, but Stockholm syndrome Democrats have given Mamdani and his DSA ilk enough comfort to come out of the communist closet.
